Hi…my name is Bacchus!

If you’ve never seen an example of a "classic" silver tabby, take a look at me! The swirled pattern on my sides distinguishes me from those (much more common!) "other" tabbies who have vertical stripes and are called "mackerel" tabbies (because the stripes look like fish bones!). So much for the tabby lesson! In addition to being handsome, I am a leash trained, microchipped, 3-year-old boy who loves to go for walks, play with toys, climb on cat trees and sit in windows. The only reason I’m here is because I didn’t get along with the other cat with whom I lived for three years. We got on OK for a while, but then I decided that I need to get ALL the attention, so I took to stalking him which sort of stirred things up in the house. I’ve lived with my mom all my life and since I’m an outgoing sort, she thought I would find a home more easily than my housemate. She said one of the things she will really miss about me is the "kitten stare" I give her about 10 in the morning and evening – it just means that it’s time for me to climb into your lap and be held and petted. If you think you’re up to that, I think that we should get together!
