Katie…is the wonderful black and white, 10-month-old mama (as of August 23) of Rosabelle and Alex, and “foster mom” to Scotty. Her kittens were brought to TALGV when they were only a week old, and the odds of their surviving were not good. Fortunately, a handful of rescuers managed to catch Katie and reunite her with her babies (along with Scotty who, at about the same time, was found in the desert with the rest of his litter – none of which survived). So, thanks to sweet Katie, the story has a happy ending. She is still a bit skittish, but she has been living in a very active house with a lot of dogs, cats, kids, and young adults, so we think that she would do best in a quiet home with an older, calm and settled family. With patience, love and lots of attention, she will reward her people with many years of pleasure and love.
