Hi…my name is Marti.
My much-loved mom adopted me from TALGV way back in 2005 when I was still pretty much a kitten, and we lived together, just the two of us, until October 2007 when she passed away. I came to TALGV right after that and was really hopeful that it wouldn’t be long at all before I found another quiet home where I could spend my time being my new person’s best friend. Sadly, that hasn’t happened, and I just don’t understand why. People come and go and take long looks at all the other cats, but seem to pass me by. When I lived with my mom, I simply adored tummy rubs, being brushed, chasing toys and tennis balls, and using my scratching post. (I never scratched the furniture although I did like to sleep on the back of the sofa!) I am a 4-year-old lady with unusual, striking “dilute” torti coloring (that means buff and gray rather than orange and black, in case you didn’t know!) and although I may appear shy at first, it will take no time at all for me to come out of my shell when I get to know you. Won’t you please make 2009 the year that I finally have a wonderful new human to call my own?
