Hi…my name is Myra.

If I appear on the shy side, it’s because my human mom wasn’t well and had to go live with her family in another state, so I was left in a trailer all by myself for quite a long time. I’ve been here at TALGV a year now, and because I’m so reserved (being left alone in that trailer really “did a number” on me!), I haven’t had a lot of attention from visitors. The volunteers who come in every day have been super nice and are giving me lots of food and treats and plenty of petting, so I’m trying real hard to get back to my original sweet self. I am about 2 years old now, and am a gorgeous, long-haired, jet black girl with magnetic green eyes. I lived with two other cats for a while in my first home and, of course, I’ve been “rooming” with lots of them here, too, so maybe I’d do okay in a home that already has a cat, or maybe I’d just like to have you all to myself (and vice versa!). All I know is that with patience and a lot of love, I will make some special person an awfully warm and thankful friend.
