Hi…my name is Sissy.
You know if I had been named after Sissy Spacek, that would have been one thing, but I was actually named because I tend to be a rather shy girl (but I’m a lover once I get to know you!), so that isn’t so great for the old ego. I am a lovely 6-year-old, spayed, orange tabby lady (rare in orange cats – most of them are males), whose dad had a terrible motorcycle accident and was unable to care for me any longer. His dad took me in for a while, but his landlord wouldn’t let him keep me, so here I am with high hopes that there will be a “cat person” out there who knows how wonderful we “shy” cats can really be with our own people. My “granddad” said that I am a “pretty good cat” in that I don’t jump on tables or counters (you don’t find many cats like me in that regard!), and that even though I’m sometimes easily spooked, I am basically a very sweet and cuddly girl. I’ve never been around any other animals (it has always been just my dad and me since I was a baby), so I think it would be wonderful to find a quiet home where just I and my person (or people, of course) could spend lots of “quality time” together.
