Hi…My name is Tipsy (aka Dusty).

Every cat wishes for a special place, but my needs are more urgent and "special" than most. I had been living outside for quite awhile, at least for the last 3 months when I was hanging out at a house where they were feeding me. I did have a real home once, and to prove it, I was wearing a handsome leather collar that went nicely with my white and gray coat.  When I was brought to TALGV they had me tested for feline immunodeficiency virus (FIV), and I tested positive. Because it’s contagious (to cats only!), I am not allowed to live with any other cats. I watch all the people come and go, and see lots of other cats and kittens being adopted, and I wonder if there’s ever going to be someone out there for me, too. Right now, I’m very healthy. The vet says that I could well live a normal life span and may never have any symptoms, but since I do have a compromised immune system they might appear later (if they do, the TALGV people will help with any medical bills). I so much want to be able to sit in someone’s lap and have the chance to walk around, play, and explore my very own home. When the nice volunteers here take me out of my cage once in a while, I am SO grateful, and it's such heaven having my ears and chin scratched that I just purr up a storm. I’m looking for a very special person with a heart as big as mine who is willing to take in a special needs guy like me. In return I promise to be a once-in-a-lifetime companion who will love and appreciate you for the rest of my life!
