Hi…my name is Oso.

My mom rescued me from the Pima County Animal Care Center four months ago when I was only five weeks old -- just before I was due to be euthanized. I guess she saw my picture on their web site, and simply fell in love with my furry face! I went to live with her family (four other dogs and two kids) and we all got along pretty well, but being such a busy, on-the-go family, I wasn’t getting all the attention I needed for my tender age (you know – learning basic house manners, my place in the pack, and all the things that go into making a really “good” puppy), so she felt it would be best if I were with a family that had more time to spend teaching me those really important things. I am an adorable, all black, shepherd/Chow mix boy who is very high energy, loves to play, run, and chase balls, and generally “get into” a lot of stuff! With patient, consistent guidance, however, I just know that I’ll be a perfectly behaved “teddy bear” in no time!
