Hi…My name is Pal.

When I was first found, they probably should have named me Scruffy, but I’m on my way to recovery now so I’m glad they didn’t!  I’m a tan, year-old, 36-pound, Chow mix, who was found scrounging for food near Pena Blanca Lake. The wonderful woman who saved me would have loved to have kept me but already had several other rescued animals of her own. I have to admit that I was pretty sad looking – raggedy ears, dirty fur, and just generally in poor condition from having had to forage for myself for so long. But with all that, the vet has pronounced me very healthy and only in need of the things I’ve missed: TLC, lots of good food, TONS of love, and most importantly, an owner who makes it clear from the start that I am NOT the leader of the pack! In return, I have so much to give back. Despite all that I’ve been through, my tail wags constantly, and I love everyone who stops by to talk to me. I am going to repay the kindness of strangers by being the best dog ever. So if you would like to take me into your life and help me recover from my ordeal, I promise to make you the center of my life!
