Hi…my name is Ruby.

My sister, Diamond, and I lived with our family (a middle-aged couple) for all our lives until our world collapsed and we lost our home – literally. Our mom and dad had to move, and the city they were going to didn’t allow big dogs like us.
Although my home was on four acres where I had tons of space to romp, I still spent most of my time in the house with my people, so I’m perfectly housebroken (I “ask” to go outside or use a doggy door), leash trained, and have good house manners (my folks allowed me to get on the sofa and in bed with them, so, truth be told, I’m just a tad spoiled – and would LOVE to keep it that way!). I’ve been around kids and although I tend to play rough, I’m good with them. Cats, though, are a different story – so I should go to a home that is cat free. I’ve been here at TALGV for almost a year now, and recently I went to live with a foster mom for a few weeks and she says that I am a still a loyal and loving companion. You can read everything she had to say about me at TALGV, but suffice it to say, she agreed with what my dad said when he brought me here – “Ruby loves to ‘talk’ like Scooby Doo [he called me “woo-dog!”] – and to sit next to you while you watch TV or read, so if you want a companionable, chatty friend, she’s the gal for you!”
