Hi…my name is Scout.

If you don’t have burros, I’m just the guy for you! I’m a 5½-year-old, black, brown, and white, Aussie/heeler mix who lived with an older couple until they could no longer care for me. A friend of theirs took me in, but he had several burros, and, being the herding dog that I am, I immediately began doing my job! Unfortunately, they (the burros) weren’t too thrilled with that, and my new owners were afraid that I was going to get hurt, so they brought me here to TALGV. I was only with them for two weeks, but we all got along just fine (another dog, a young couple, and their two kids). They said that I was very loving, playful, good company, and a good friend.  I went to live with another family for a while, but they lived in a rental and were gone an awful lot, so I barked to get attention and that got me in a bit of trouble (what’s a bored guy to do to amuse himself?). Now I’m I’ve got my fingers crossed that I find a home with a family that has a nice, big yard that I can romp around in for awhile, but then come inside and be with my people most of the time. If that sounds like you, then I’m the perfect partner you’ve been looking for!
