Hi…my name is Smokey.
What a difference a day makes! My friend, Cowboy, and I were wandering in the neighborhood of Via de la Lluvia in Rancho Sahuarita wondering where our next meal was coming from, when we were rescued and brought here. Now we’ve got tons of stuff to eat, plenty of fresh water (that was REALLY scare out there!), and lots of attention from all the great people here. I am a black, terrier-type boy who, they think, is about 2-3 years old. I am as wiggly, exuberant, and outgoing as any puppy, so everyone agrees that although I haven’t had any real training, I’m going to be so eager to please that I’ll shape up in no time for the right people. I’m on the small side, weighing only about 20 pounds, but it’s all pure love, so my dream is to share it with a new, active family who will have time to mold me into a splendid friend.
