Fluffy:  My young dad got me when he went to college, but after the school year was over, he realized that he could no longer keep me. Fortunately, his mom took me in, but she already has two other cats and we don’t get along too famously, so she’d like to find me a home where I can rule the roost! I am a lovely, medium-haired, dilute torti (muted grey and beige), spayed female who is just 9 months old. When those other felines aren’t around, I am very affectionate, playful, and simply love to keep you company during your daily routines.  My dad said that when it was just the two of us, when he came home at night, I simply bounded to the door to greet him – just like a dog! I’m living in Tucson right now, but for the right person, I’ll bet my mom would bring me down to the Green Valley area (although Tucson isn’t all THAT far to go for a sweetie like me!). For more information, won’t you please call her at 325-6799 so that she can tell you about my many charms!

Kitty:  I have been living with my foster mom for awhile since my owner could no longer keep me. Sadly, she has another cat that just terrorizes me, and although they’ve really tried, they finally had to admit that we are never going to have even an “armed truce.” So, since I am such a sweet, outgoing, lap cat, they are hoping that I will be able to find a home where I’ll be safe and loved. I like kids (I can be a bit shy at first, but warm up to them if they’re gentle), adore dogs, and would be fine with another cat as long as he or she was okay with me! I am a beautiful, 6-year-old, spayed calico lady with striking green eyes who has lived her whole life indoors. I love to cuddle up and sleep with my foster dad, and I know he is going to be sad when I leave. I only eat dry food, so for those of you who aren’t crazy about fishy, canned cat food smells, I would be the perfect companion! I know there are lots more good things that my foster mom can tell you about me, so won’t you please call her at 520-297-9401 to hear about my other sterling qualities?

GENERAL MAO:  I got my name because I was once a big, domineering tomcat hanging around with a bunch of feral cats. Unlike them, however, I was a very sweet guy who had just gotten in with the “wrong crowd!” Now that I’ve been neutered, I have no desire to roam any more, and I want more than anything in the world to have a home of my own where I can be the ONLY feline guy. I get along okay with females, but, truth be told, I really would rather have you all to myself. I am a 3-4-year-old, Turkish Van/Siamese mix (I have one blue eye and one orange eye, which gives me quite an unusual look.) I have gorgeous, thick white fur with an orange tail and a few auburn spots. I love to rub my head and body against you and flop over for tummy rubs and serious petting, and then give you a “thank you” nibble. Right now I have to share my “mom” with so many other cats, and I am SO hoping to find a place of my very own so that the “real me” can come shining through. Won’t you please call her at 398-2871 and she’ll tell you what a wonderful guy I really am!

MILO: I am the quintessential “people cat!” My mom calls me the “greeter” of the family – when people come to the door, I have to check them out and let them know that a cat rules the house! I am a big (not fat, just big!) 5-year-old, black and white, DECLAWED, indoor only (naturally), neutered gentleman. Sadly, my mom is moving and not allowed to take me with her, so she is looking for a home with someone who will love me as much as she does. I am VERY friendly and playful, and although I love to lie next to you on a sofa or chair (or bed!), I’m not a real “lap sitter.” Like lots of cats, I tend to be pretty active in the morning, so if you’re an early riser we can share a cup of coffee, read the newspaper, and watch the sun come up together. If you’d prefer to sleep late, I’m OK with that too, and am quite content sleeping in the living room as long as I get to spend lots of time with you during! the day! I’ve been around GENTLE kids, but never lived with dogs or other cats, but I might be willing to try. For more information about what a great guy I am, please call my mom at 399-2896. You won’t be sorry.

POWDER: My dad got me 10 years ago when I was only a baby and has had me ever since. At first it was just the two of us, but then he got married and had two children, and my life was a lot different (especially after the kids arrived!). I am a beautiful, blue-eyed medium–haired lady who was born deaf. I guess that happens a lot with all white, blue-eyed cats, but I get along just fine anyway. My mom says that because I’m deaf I have this really strange meow because I’ve never heard a “real” one so I just sort of made up my own! I have been living in the garage for a while (it’s not as bad as it sounds, I actually LIKE it out there sometimes because it keeps me away from prying baby fingers!), but I am a real “people cat” (kids too if they’re gentle but no dogs or other cats – I need to be an “only child”). So if you’d like company in your living room, or in your bedroom, or in any old room in your house, I’d be more than happy to oblige. Because I haven’t had a lot of exercise lately, I could stand to lose a few pounds (couldn’t most of us?), but I’ll bet with the run of the house, they’d come off in no time! For more information about me, please call 822-8498.

Must be an only cat

MANDERS: My friend, Skittles, and I have been living (and getting along great) with a whole tribe of rescued dogs and cats way out in the Wrangler Ranch area. Sadly, our people are moving to a place where they don’t allow QUITE so many animals, so since we are both super friendly and affectionate (and beautiful to boot!), they thought we might be the easiest two to place. I am a striking calico lady with the most wonderful markings you’ve ever seen! I can be laid back and demure at times and at others just the life of the party. Since I was a rescued girl, my dad isn’t sure whether I’m spayed or not, and I should probably have my shots brought up to date, but there are low-cost places in Tucson that will do that in a jiffy. I’m sure that if you can’t make it all the way out to meet me, my dad could bring me to you, so why don’t you give him a call? He can be reached on his cell (982-4789) or at home (399-3508).

Sadly, our people are moving to a place where they don’t allow QUITE so many animals, so since we are both super friendly and affectionate (and beautiful to boot!), they thought we might be the easiest two to place. I am a “drop-dead gorgeous” long-haired, tabby and white, 4-year-old lady with the most intriguing eyes you’ve ever seen! I can be laid back and “Cleopatra-like” at times and at others just the life of the party.
