RANDI: Welsh Corgi X, female, 3 yrs, 45#. She has had her shots and has been spayed. She is housebroken, leash trained, and is an obedient dog. She does not need a leash to stay near her owner, outside. She is a wonderful inside companion dog, who is always kind to the owner’s children (ages 1 and 3). She never jumps or nips.  She is very sweet and protects the household.  Her owner has been forced to move to a small apartment and must find Randi a New home.

TRIP:  P.B. German Shorthaired Pointer (Has papers), male, 6 mo, will be 50#.  Has shots, but not neutered.    Has always been an outside dog.  A field dog (a hunting dog), who is  very smart and could be easily trained.  Trip would be great around horses and as a bird dog—wonderful on a ranch (with no fowl), but with some TLC he could be trained as a house pet.  He needs a young family who could walk him , play with him, and allow him to run.  His owner says he was one of 8 puppies, who never got the attention he should have been given and now his doggie dad is picking on him .  This potentially talented dog  needs to find a good home.

ISABELLA: Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, female, 6 years old 18#. She is spayed and up to date with her shots. Her teeth have just been cleaned and she has some formal obedience training and snake avoidance training. She is very sweet and gives kisses; she will chase a leaf or a flower petal, but will not chase a ball. She actually sits and watches T.V. with her owner. Although she is fine off the leash at the dog park, she is afraid of other dogs on leashes and tries to chase them away. Isabella is a beautiful dog, whose owner is leaving the area and must find a good home for her companion either as an only pet or with a cat—she loves cats. She needs a fenced-in yard, because she is an explorer.

DOLLY: Catahoula Leopard dog/Queensland Heeler, female, 4 yrs, 35#. She is spayed and has had puppy shots. She is an inside/outside dog, who is housebroken, leash and obedience trained. She needs a new home because her owners, who have 9 dogs, are moving to a smaller area. Her mother is Nougat.

BUTTERCUP:  Shepherd X, female, 1-1/2 yrs, 45lbs. She is up-to-date w/shots, spayed, on Hartgard and has a microchip.  Buttercup is a beloved family dog, who is  well-cared for  and appealing and who gets along great with kids..  She is the very gentle playmate of a 4-year old.  She knows sit down and comes when called.  Her owner is moving to an apartment, where only small dogs are allowed and cannot afford an apartment that would accept a larger dog.  She will be the perfect addition to your family.

She should be brought in on winter nights and out of the summer heat, but she prefers being outside to alert you to visitors..

Hannah is learning to be housebroken, leash trained, has minimal obedience training, and is an inside/outside dog. Because of her early experiences, she is very timid with new people, cats are unknown to her, but she is o.k. with other dogs. She is being fostered by a man from the Humane Society, who is teaching her to trust people. She enjoys cuddling and would be the perfect companion for a retired person. She is a loving and beautiful girl.

She grew into being a smart and beautiful lady. She is affectionate and loving with her family but is reserved around strangers. She is a lively dog with a lot of ability. In the words of her owner: "I used to volunteer for a service dog training program and learned that the way we respond to our dogs will really have an affect on them as they mature. With this in mind Sally was never discouraged when she would pick up objects. Instead I used the words " leave it" if I didn’t wish her to have it. Or the words "take it" when she would pick something up. When she is not living with other dogs she is wonderful. She has the herding instinct and will need something on which to focus her energy. . She would even enjoy herding a ball She will not be suitable for adoption with other dogs as she is a natural leader.
