Hi… my name is Anastasia,

Adopted 5-15-17

Not that I’m a betting girl, but everyone’s heard of love at first sight and I’ll wager that if you come visit me, that’s exactly what’ll happen to you! I’m a stray, so of course there’s the old “history/mystery” thing going on, but whatever it was, it included a lot of contact with humans and plenty of love and attention! And of course, we won’t even mention the beauty! Well, there, I just did – but you can’t ignore my luxurious Torbie coat (a golden mix of torti and tabby), or my “I-love-you-won’t-you be-mine” expression, so come see why we’re destined to make beautiful music together. At just 3 years old, there’s time for it to be a whole symphony!

Hi… my name is Icing (aka Vicki),

I was originally adopted with Cupcake, another puppy, and we had all kinds of fun. Our family said I was fantastic with the children (4 and 8 years old), loved to snuggle, knew “sit” and “come,” and had an adorable habit of sleeping under blankets when cold. I was playful, lively, and puppy-happy—which also means I had things to learn. And that’s what I’ve been doing—training for good manners, learning to walk well on a leash and generally how to please my person. I’m still playful, young and lively, of course, and my friends say I’m beautiful—a fawn and white Lab mix female, about 50 pounds, who could melt your heart with the hopeful look in my eyes. Will you be the one who sees what an awesome companion I’ll be?

Hi… my name is Curley,

Adopted 12-24-16

My name is funny because I’m not curly at all! I’m a smooth-coated Chihuahua, light brown compared to my brother Mo, whose coat is darker than mine, and we’re just youngsters—only 4 months old. The woman who brought us here had offered to help us find a home and TALGV was the right place for that. Lots of people visit and when they see us, they often talk about how little we are. I understand that—I’m just 6+ pounds. From my perspective, it’s a big wide world out there, so I’m sure you appreciate why I’m a little cautious. (People often call that “shy.”) But once we know each other, I’m also affectionate and very sweet, and I’m hoping that no matter what my name is, you’ll want to call me yours.

Hi… my name is Coda Cat,

Adopted July 2, 2016

When my dad lost his home, he had just a few weeks to move and could only find an apartment that allowed a single pet, so the dadgummed dog got to go (I personally think that’s “species profiling” myself!). So…all my five feline housemates and I came here where we’ve been “fixed” (that’s how he ended up with so many of us!), gotten much needed checkups to make sure we’re healthy (we are!), and now we’d all like to find places that will be ours forever. I’m a 1-year-old Siamese boy who is gentle and laid back (but still very playful at my age!), very well behaved and social, and get along with everyone. Sound like great bona fides to me, so come make me yours – time’s a-wastin’ for us both!

Hi… my name is Fonzo,

Adopted September 29, 2015

When my former family moved out of state, I couldn’t go with them. That made me sad then, but now I’m really looking forward to a happy new home. I’m a good-looking Boxer male with the popular fawn-with-white-markings coat. At 4 years old and 50 pounds, I’m a guy who has lived around kids, likes toys for entertainment, and has good house manners. I’m leash trained and have some commands down pat, such as “walk,” “stay,” “lay down,” “come,” and “go outside.” For extra fun, I love to go on car rides, and when you sleep, I like to lie on a blanket by your bed. Most of all, I’d just love your attention. You are what would make me happiest, so please let me show you what great companion I can be.

Zee

Hi… my name is Zee.

Adopted June 30, 2015

You’ve heard about how cats have nine lives — we’ll this little boy has several too, and I have already used up one of them! Two years ago, I (very unwisely!) chewed on a wire in the house and if my dad hadn’t been home to resuscitate me, I’d have been a goner! Well, I’m happy to report that I’m fine now except for some residual scarring around my mouth, but that doesn’t stop me from playing with my toys and engaging in the odd game of tug-of-war now and then! When my dad moved in with his girlfriend and her small dog and two cats, they discovered that I’m definitely not a “cat person,” so a home where it’s just you and me would suit me to a “T.”
