ADDIE is a social and energetic 6-year-old, 50-pound, Australian Cattle Dog female who needs a new home with more space for exercise (owner has moved to apartment). She has some obedience training (sit and stay), is treat motivated, and learns quickly. She is housebroken and asks to go out. She is in good health, spayed, and medical records are available. Addie gets along with other dogs and cats but may try to herd small animals. She likes everyone but she really loves children of all ages. She loves attention and long walks. Buddy

Hi… my name is Buddy,

I was just a puppy when I was adopted from TALGV 8 years ago. Because of unforeseen circumstances, my family had to find a new home, but they couldn’t find one that would allow dogs, namely me. I’m now 9 years old and, as you can see, I’ve grown into a handsome Border Collie mix boy. I’m good in the house, gentle, know how to “sit,” and walk well on a leash. I enjoy playing with tough, appropriate chew toys, but soft toys should never be included on my wish list. I lived with two children (4 and 10) but might do better with older children. I don’t like thunderstorms, but I do love to run, jog, and go on hikes, and I’d REALLY love to go home with you and be your faithful “Buddy” for life.

Originally, when first arriving here, there were three of us; Dotty, Evie, and me. Since the other two were bonded, I was happy to see them go home together, with their new, proud parents. I had joined the little family sometime after the other two, and even though we all got along very well, I never actually bonded with them. I’m an outgoing, self-proclaimed lap dog who’s incredibly sweet. I love people, being petted, and having someone make a fuss over me. I can “sit” when asked, walk well on a leash, and come with vet care support for life. I’m an active, happy and loving girl, who’s looking for someone who could be looking for me. Someone to share my retirement with, preferably someone with a soft lap. Do you think we’ve found each other? I do!

Hi… my name is Chasen,

I’ve had a couple of homes already. My first owner died, and after that I went to a home with children, other cats, and a dog. All was well except that one of the other cats didn’t like me, and that stressed me out. I mean, I’m a pretty mellow guy, but you can only take so much. So here I am! I love to chase laser pointers, and crinkly toys really get my attention. My owners say I’m talkative. The volunteers here haven’t noticed that quality yet, but they observe that I’m still settling in. I like a cubby up high but will easily come out when coaxed, and enjoy being petted and brushed.

When you look at me you’ll see that I still need to grow into my feet—they’re big! I’m not sure how much more growing I have to do, so maybe I’ll just keep them as is. Anyway, you could call me a family man. I was in a home with several children, other cats and dogs. Given a choice, I liked to sleep with the kiddies. I like to play, and I’m also gentle and loving. I like attention and don’t mind being picked up and fussed over, and will purr my thanks. I’m a handsome orange and white boy with a friendly face. If you need a family addition, come meet me.

Three little puppies. I should say we were three very scaredlittle puppies when my siblings and I were discovered in an unoccupied house. Thank goodness our finder brought us to TALGV, where my brother and sister have already found their new homes. Now it’s my turn! I’m a shepherd mix female with deep brown eyes and a beautiful black coat with touches of white. My favorite things? Belly rubs, play time, and the company of kind people and other friendly pups. I’ve been described as sweet and quiet by my friends, and I’m starting to learn what puppies need to know. Hi… my name is Shamus,

To start with, my foster mom wants you to know what good house manners I have, and what a sweet, friendly boy I am. I love everyone I meet and enjoy making friends with the neighborhood dogs. I usually sit on command, and I also walk well on a leash. I’m crate trained and sleep peacefully all night, and I’m proud to say that I’m “almost” potty trained. I may be a growing boy, but I still enjoy a little lap time. I have several stuffed animals I enjoy tossing around, but I’m still a puppy, so I need to chew! I’m partial to Nylabones, but if you want to buy me some other safe chew toys, when you take me home, I’ll be okay with that. If that sounds like a hint, it’s because it is!
