ALLIE is a beautiful, social, and sweet 4-year-old, 45-pound yellow Lab mix who needs a new home. Her family can no longer care for her. Allie is obedience trained and knows well: sit, shake, down-roll, speak, no. She is good with new people and gets along with children, but rescuer believes she should be an only dog; cats are unknown. She is spayed and is up to date on her shots. She is housebroken and currently uses a doggie door. Allie is very calm and affectionate, loves to take long walks, and used to sleep with owner. She would be best in a home with someone who has time to dote on her.
There is no adoption fee. If you will welcome Allie into a loving home as part of your family, please call Sharon between 8 AM and 8 PM at 775-427-0025.
I guess there’s really not a while lot I need say about myself except that I’m a yellow Lab lady and just that will doubtless tell you more about my personality than mere words! I was found sitting in a cage outside TALGV with my leash in my mouth and a bowl of food next to me (that just was a subtle hint that first, I wanted out, and second, maybe a long walk was needed — and happily I didn’t have to wait too long!). I’m a very happy dog, who seems to have been well cared for (I weigh 77 pounds — no food rationing in my life!), and I was obviously once well loved, so it would be great if that happened again for me, and soon!
After being rescued from a motel room (it’s a long story), I’m super grateful to those helping me find my forever home. One is my wonderful foster mom. She understands I’m so shy that sometimes I can’t be friendly with new people. But once I get to know you, she says, I’m a “Major Snuggle Bunny!” She’s shown me the joys of living in a home, and praised me for learning house manners so quickly. I’m getting REAL good at meeting new dogs, being sociable, and learning to become comfortable with new people. I don’t “do” cats well, but with people I know, I’m a lovable, sweet boy; a 70-pound, yellow Lab/Staffie mix who’d love to get to know you. If you feel the same, TALGV will call Foster Mom and we’ll meet soon!
A couple found me a while back and although I was microchipped (someone cared about me once it appears!), they couldn’t track down my owner, so they had planned to keep me. Unfortunately, I didn’t get along with their male dogs (or their cats either, truth to say), so they felt that I needed a home where I was the only canine (or at least the only male). They did say that I was an “excellent dog,” am housebroken, walk well on a leash, and enjoy human companionship more than anything. I’m a young and handsome mix of yellow Lab and shepherd, and although I’ve not had any formal training, I think it would be fun to learn a whole bunch of new stuff with my next family. When the thought of adding a big, strapping guy to your world pops up, I’m hoping you’ll give me a look.
