Hi… my name is Rusty.

Adopted December 3, 2014.

When I was a barely-weaned puppy, a wonderful family took me in after I was found discarded in a box. I would be with them still, but their neighbors had outdoor cats, and not being a great feline fan, I barked at them a lot, so the HOA asked to have me removed (I guess keeping the cats inside wasn’t an option!). I’m an Australian Cattle Dog and have been at TALGV about two years now looking for my dream home. The volunteers say that once I get to know you I’m a genuinely affectionate guy who loves to play fetch with my Kong (I’m ecstatic when you throw it and will even jump up to catch it before it hits the ground!) and other toys. Like all cattle dogs, I’m eager to please and to learn, so won’t you give me the chance to prove what a wonderful addition I can be to your life?
