My mom said I earned my name because I’m a devoted-to-my-person kind of lady and really can be a true “shadow”! (Avila was my name here at TALGV when I was adopted almost three years ago.) Unfortunately, when my dad died, mom really needed to try to get some semblance of order in her life and because of health problems, could no longer care for me like she had before. In my first home, my people trained me to sleep in a crate and I was okay with that, but I’ve learned to much prefer cuddling up with a human at night, so if you’re the kind of older, quite person (no little kids or wimpy dogs, please!) who likes a “bed buddy,” I’m made for you!                (12-2016)
