Are you familiar with my breed? We Maine Coons are one of the oldest breeds in North America. We originated in the State of Maine (hence, the name) and are known as “Gentle Giants.” We are friendly and affectionate. We love to be near our person(s).  So, why am I at The Animal League? Well, after showing up at my rescuer’s house several times, she brought me here where I’m being well cared for. Although I’m termed a “stray,” I am very calm. Who knows how long I wandered about? I am so ready for my own human to shower with love and affection. If you want a loyal companion, I’m your guy!
