Hi… my name is Charlie,

NOTE: BIO NEEDS REVISION

Everyone thinks that babies are cute, but try being a middle-aged cat used to being with just his humans and then have a small creature with a thousand hands enter your life, hog all the attention, and see how YOU feel! My people tried to help me adjust, but I couldn’t manage, so here I am, at 9 years, looking for a home where I can be myself again. Mom said I “eat anything” (you can tell), am very shy around new people, but like to be petted (not held), play with toys, and to play hide and seek (once I’m comfortable, of course!). So…how about you and me and a relatively quiet life together?

Hi… my name is Bruce (boy),

NOTE: BIO NEEDS REVISION

Bruce Boy has earned his AKC Canine Good Citizen certificate.

A lady rescued me from a man she saw kicking and yelling at me. But here, happily, I’ve learned to trust people again. Volunteers call me “Gentle, Loving, and Laid Back.” I enjoy all kinds of toys, playing fetch, and learning, but I especially love being with people. I’ve been calm around some other dogs (not all, but some). I’ve earned my Canine Good Citizen certificate, so I know sit, stay, and several other commands. I also walk nicely on the leash. Foster parents report I was a perfect houseguest, especially compliant about getting into my crate at night to sleep. They think I will make a wonderful companion, so come visit me; stay awhile; then take me home with you. Let me give you my love and a new sense of joy!

Leo

Hi… my name is Leo,

COMES WITH VET CARE SUPPORT FOR LIFE

My former mom is moving away and can’t take me with her. She gave me to a friend whose dog wanted nothing to do with me. At this stage of  life, I might prefer being an only dog! I’m a 12-year-old Chihuahua mix, and I’m in the market for a loving,    comfortable home where I can retire. Im even on Social Security, in the form of Vet Care Support for Life. It isnt easy to lose the home youve lived in for so long, and the family (two cats) you shared it with. Im small, so I wont eat much or take up too much room. I enjoy my naps, and its always a comfort to know that someone who cares is close at hand. Adopt me now so we can begin to enjoy the simple things in life, together!

If you are considering adoption, please call TALGV office (520-625-3170) and make a date to meet me soon. Kennel appointments are between 10 and 2 every day.

Hi… my name is Cami,

Adopted 9-3-21

In the winter of 2018 I was found wandering alone and scared in Tubac. A patient man lured me with food and took me to TALGV. I’m a 6-year-old female Boxer who hopes to find a home with caring people and a canine buddy. I was gentle with my adopted family’s grandchildren and tried to befriend their dog. But when he just ignored me, I got depressed and stopped eating. They worried about me and brought me back. Now, in my foster home, my doggie “sister“ has taught me “down,” “crawl,” and how to use the doggie door. We love snuggling together. My foster parents say I’m skittish when hearing loud noises like slamming doors, but I’m not a barker. I’m shy at first, but ultimately I’m known as “the affectionate love bug.”

Hi… my name is Sheba,

COMES WITH VET CARE SUPPORT FOR LIFE

It’s that time of life when I may have a middle-age spread, a couple of aches and pains, and I might not be able to see and hear as well as I used to, but I think I’m fine the way I am. I need a new home due to my former owner’s health issues. My foster mom taught me how to use a doggie door, and the commands “sit,” “wait,” and “stop.” In fact, I taught HER how to heel, and she follows me everywhere. OOPS!…that could be the other way around. Whatever! I like to stay close! On walks I get a little snappy with other dogs, otherwise I seem fine with them. I come with Vet Care Support for Life… tempted? Once we meet in person, I think I’ll be coming home with you.

If you are considering adoption, please call TALGV office (520-625-3170) and make a date to meet me soon. Kennel appointments are between 10 and 2 every day.

Adopted 5-9-14, Arrived 7-15-21.

Hi… my name is Angel,

Adopted 8-28-21

I’m not bragging, just repeating what the volunteers are saying about me: “We couldn’t have picked a more perfect name for him!” Maybe it was because I had an angel on my shoulder when I was rescued right before being euthanized at a county shelter, but it sure fit my personality, too! I’m a delightful, playful, loving boy (I even like being held!) who, dare I say, is as handsome as can be into the bargain with my golden brown tabby coat. No one knows whether I’d be okay with kids, dogs, or other cats (though I’ll bet I would!), but I’m definitely an “everyone’s-a-friend” kind of guy, so let’s make beautiful music together!
