Hi… my name is Henry,

Comes with Free Vet Care Support for Life

My previous family thought they didn’t have enough time to give my pal Bear and me all the attention we deserve. Now we’re both here at TALGV, needing a new home and family. I’m a 13-year-old male Cattle Dog who comes with free Vet Care Support for Life. I’m housebroken, ask to go out or I can use a doggie door. I’m leash trained and know the commands “sit” and “come.” I’m mostly shy but I love children of all ages and get along well with other dogs. I would probably be more afraid of cats than the cat would be of me. Bear and I are quite bonded and really want to be adopted together. Please make an appointment to meet us and see how well we would complete your family.

If you are considering adoption, please call TALGV office (520-625-3170) and make a date to meet me soon. Kennel appointments are between 10 and 2 every day.

Hi… my name is Risky,

Well, so far, my life hasn’t exactly been a Magical Mystery Tour! I guess the “mystery” part is right, but it’s been a far cry from magical. A wildlife response team trapped me trying to get into Wal-Mart, but they realized I wasn’t really feral and brought me here. I’ll admit I was a bit shaken (and still guarded after that experience, what with all the hullabaloo!), but I’m slowly recovering, and once I’m wrapped in a blanket and held, I start purring to beat the band. It may take me a while to trust everyone again, but I’m still a kitten, so I just need you to bring out the lover in me!

If you are considering adoption, please call TALGV office (520-625-3170) and make a date to meet me soon. Kennel appointments are between 10 and 2 every day.

Adopted 1-7-21

MANDY is a sweet 3-year-old, 22-pound Whippet/Beagle mix girl that needs a loving home. Foster who rescued her would like her to be with a family that has more time for her. Mandy is fully house/potty trained (asks to go out) and loves dogs and cats of all sizes especially little ones her size or smaller. She knows sit and come. She is spayed and takes medication for Valley Fever (she loves her pills inside Marshmallows – about $50 a month). She is leash trained – walks/runs on 1 front leg and the opposite back leg. The lame back leg was apparently fused at birth. Her front leg is due to the Valley Fever. Mandy can easily jump up and down off the couch. She can be left alone at home without any concern, and she likes a crate to use when she wants to rest. Mandy is an Angel… well behaved, loving and all around best snuggler ever!  There is no adoption fee for Mandy. If you would welcome her into a loving home, please call Shawna from 8 AM to 5 PM at 520-878-3732.

Hi… my name is Otis (aka Magnum),

Note: Bio needs revision.

I’m a Bluetick Coonhound puppy – not a P.I. like that guy on TV with the same name! I’m lucky to be in a foster home with 4 dogs that I enjoy playing with. My foster Mom says I love people and want to please, and I also love peanut butter in kongs, carrots, and toys with hidden treats. I’m leash- and crate-trained, and sleep in the crate at night and occasionally during the day. I know to go out for potty, but sometimes I forget when I’m playing. I can sit, stay, down, off, and no, until I get distracted. I need activities to keep me busy because my nose can get me in trouble when I’m bored. I need a “leader of the pack” who’s patient and willing to continue my basic training. If you can lead, I can follow.  (bio dated 4-1-20)

Hi… my name is Harrison,

Adopted 1-13-21

I was found wandering around the area for several days and, believe me, the desert nights get very cold and lonely. I’m grateful to the person who brought me in and introduced me   to the people at TALGV. I love going for rides and walks and when you combine the two, I’m in absolute doggie heaven. I need work on my leash training and since I’m very strong, I need someone who can handle me. I’m attentive to my handler and I ignore other dogs. I’m smart and easy going and you might say delightfully “goofy” in that happy-go-lucky way. I know the command “sit” and can use the doggie door. If you’re in the market for a gentle, friendly companion, please call for an appointment. See you!
