TIDA is a smart, well-behaved, and affectionate 4-year-old, 50-pound Staffie mix female that needs a new home because rescuer can no longer keep her. She is housebroken (asks to go out), spayed, and shots are up to date. She loves to take walks and car rides; she is obediencetrained – knows many commands. She is crate trained and needs lots of outdoor exercise, play time, and companionship to keep her content. Tida is very social with people but may do best as an only pet. There is no adoption fee. If you will welcome this special girl into a loving home as part of your family, please call Lesa between 9 AM and 8 PM at 520-780-0585 (please leave voicemail).

Hi… my name is Tuesday,

Adopted 6-14-18

Note: Bio needs update

“Tuesday is one of the smartest, most lovable dogs I have come across.” That’s what my dear foster mom said about me. And there’s lots more. She described me as a “great companion…loves people, loves walks,” completely potty trained, extremely clean, and said I napped a lot, “loves hanging out on a couch.” My TALGV friends will share more details, such as: “Tuesday rarely barks, but will talk to you…she loves playing with her squeaky stuffed animals, especially if you play along with her.” Simply put, for me, heaven on earth is loving my person and living in a home, and I’ll do my best to make you happy, too. As foster mom said, “If you’re looking for a loving companion who is gentle and loyal, you won’t find a better dog than Tuesday!”

Hi… my name is Windy,

Adopted 6-9-18

To be dramatic, I’d say it was a “dark and stormy night” when my babies and I arrived at TALGV, but, no, it was just a typically windy day in Arizona, so it sure was nice to get inside since we’d been “living rough” for quite a while. We went to live with a foster mom ‘til the kids were ready to be on their own, so now I’m looking for attention, love, and someone I can call my own. I’m a little strip of a thing and only about a year old, but you know good things come in small packages, so come take advantage of all the gifts I’m eager to dole out!

Hi… my name is Bambi,

Moving here was a big surprise to my sister Oreo and me. We’d been with our people four years, ever since we were puppies, but when they moved out of state and couldn’t take us, we no longer had a home. Needless to say, that’s a scary predicament. When we arrived at TALGV, we just barked at strangers and huddled together. But things are getting better. The Den Mothers help a lot. They’re the volunteers who visit us regularly in The Den—the room here for little dogs. With their encouragement, we’re showing more of our true selves—bright, vivacious and spunky. We’re Chihuahua/Pomeranian mix females; I’m the tan and white one, 11 pounds, and if you could love a lively, attentive little dog like me, I’d be proud to be your devoted companion.

Hi… my name is Gomez,

Adopted 6-3-18

Sometimes you wonder how pet names are selected, don’t you? Well, odd name or not, I’m one snuggly, affectionate 3-year-old boy who’ll make your day just that much brighter when I’m part of it. I was found in Phoenix several years ago, then migrated to Rio Rico where my family finally decided they had too many pets. I’m playful (as befitting my young age), thrive on attention, and will do anything for treats! I’ve lived with four Chihuahuas, a Poodle, and five cats (including my friend, Inkblot, who’s here also), and am gentle with kids, so with just a bit of settling in time, I’ll be the best addition to your life ever!

Hi… my name is Inkblot,

Adopted 6-10-18

Well, thank heavens for small miracles – at least they didn’t name me “Rorschach!” Actually, I guess it’s a fairly apt name as I AM a lovely combination of black and white “inkblots,” so it’s a pretty fair description. But in addition to my lovely fur (which also comes from being part Himalayan they say), I’m a sweet 3-year-old lady who just loves being petted, am playful (as befitting my young age), and thrive on attention. I’ve lived with four Chihuahuas, a Poodle, and five cats (including my friend, Gomez, who’s here also), and am gentle with kids, so with just a bit of settling in time, I’ll be the best addition to your life ever!

Hi… my name is Tess,

Comes with Free Vet Care for Life

Until not too long ago, I was just the most wonderful companion to my dad – a quiet, loving, and affectionate lady who loved petting – and his very best friend. Then age-related things started catching up with me (there may be people in Green Valley who can identify with that!), and there were times when I just wanted to be left alone. The wonderful people here at TALGV are giving me a thorough “going over” to be sure there’s nothing amiss (at 13-plus, those things happen!), and if so, they’ll fix me right up good as new (well, almost – I guess we never get back to “new!”). So stay tuned for my progress – I’m aiming to be my old loving self soon!

Hi… my name is Domino,

I’m happy to say that there are many wonderful people out there who love big dogs! Lucky me, right? I’m 100+ pounds—my size makes me strong too, and my former person felt I was too strong for her as she got older—but, fortunately, I’m also very friendly and very loving. Moreover, people seem to like me and that’s mutual—I’m great with people and small dogs. (Protective around large dogs, though.) A 6-1/2-year-old American Bulldog, I’m housebroken, know commands like sit, stay, and come, understand some Spanish, and I’m a happy guy who likes to play. White with brown spots, including one big brown spot on my back (like a Domino), I’d sure like to meet you. And if we find each other irresistible, well, “together-forever” has a nice ring to it!
