Dang! Everything was going just great in my life until my mom’s health got to the point where she needed to go into assisted living. I know she’s going to miss me (and my sister, Molly) almost as much as I’m going to miss her, but I have high hopes that a similar life is in the cards for me. She adopted us when we were youngsters, and since it was just the three of us, we lived a peaceful, happy life. The transition from a quiet home to a, well, let’s just say “action-packed” shelter has left me a little shy at the moment, but that’ll pass when I have another person to love and there’s absolutely no reason it couldn’t be you!
