Hi… my name is Toby,

Adopted 12-2-17

I’m not sure what “cute” means (it’s never come with a treat, so I haven’t paid close attention), but humans smile when they say that word about me. For my part, I’m happy just being with someone who enjoys the company of a friendly, active dog. I’m friendly because I love the attention of people, and active (often sniffing and observing) because I’m so curious about the world around us. And if you’d sometimes enjoy just being lazy together, I’m good with that, too. I’m a tri-colored 2-year-old Beagle mix male, about 30 pounds, and I do speak Beagle, a sound some like more than others. I’ve been reported to be housebroken and leash trained, and if you make me yours, I’ll do my small hound dog best to make you smile every day.

Hi… my name is Zoey,

Adopted 12-24-16

When people say I’m cute, they’re often talking about my curly tail, big bright eyes, and well-proportioned 31 pounds. Do those compliments make me happy? Yes, they do! But I’m hoping you’ll say my personality is my best feature. We’ll need to get to know each other; I can be a little shy at first, but my former person (who’s moving to one of those no-dogs-allowed places) described me as “a very sweet girl.” She said I am “great with kids” (familiar with a 19-month and 5-year-old), train quickly (good on a leash), friendly with dogs (I’ve been living with two), and also friendly with cats! I’m a 6-year-old Pug/Beagle mix, a cutie inside and out. Won’t you come meet me today? I love to make new friends, and sometimes good friends become family!

Hi… my name is Sadie,

Adopted July 16, 2016

You may spot me at TALGV even without knowing my name. When things get very busy, sometimes even with noise and commotion, I remain calm and quiet. Oh, I’m interested in everyone who goes by, but I’m often the most peaceful little dog you could hope to see. I’m an 8-year-old adorable Beagle/Pug mix female, a little chubby at 34 pounds, who looks up at you with my big brown eyes as if to say, “do you want to go for a walk?” or maybe “would you like to share a quiet moment or cuddle?” The person who found me in Rancho Sahuarita said I was very good with kids, good in the house, and could smile! I’m ready to give my most special smile to you, on the day you take me home.

Hi… my name is Mookie,

Adopted December 13, 2015

There were lots of other dogs where I came from, and although we were welcome, there just wasn’t enough room for me, my sister, and dad. So we came to TALGV, where I’m learning lots of good things—like how to walk on a leash, and what great friends those critters called humans can be! And while playing and running are easy, I’m still slow to warm up to people. But please don’t let my shyness stand in our way. My biggest dream is to be wanted and loved. If you have room in your heart and home for me, I’ll thank you every day by being your sweet, loyal companion. I’m a 1-year old Beagle/Lab mix female, about 35 pounds; stunningly beautiful in black, white, and brown, and hoping to see you today.

Hi… my name is Nellie,

Adopted October 3, 2015

When TALGV volunteers ask me how such an adorable dog was found wandering and alone, I must say I don’t know. And then I thank them for saying I’m adorable. I do my best! I love to play and truly love people attention. If you’ll let me, I’ll sit on your lap and give you lots of Beagle attention in return. The folks who found me said I was good with new people, kids (4 and 6 years old) and animals (they had 2 dogs, both bigger than me). I may be cute, thanks very much, but most of all I’m eager to be your friend. At 30 pounds, I’m a cuddle-friendly size; tan and white, and about 4-1/2 years old. I bet we’ll find each other adorable, so please let’s meet!
