Hi… my name is Sugar Bear.

Adopted October 30, 2015

My foster mom and I talked about this message and here’s what we want to say: If you’re looking for a relaxed couch potato, I’m your man. I enjoy daily walks around the neighborhood to say hello to everyone, and I LOVE car rides, but no hiking or mile runs. When foster mom gets up at 4 a.m., I get up, go outside, and go back to bed. However, if you rustle pans in the kitchen, I’ll come running. I could be your sous chef! I’m not food aggressive, though. I’ve lived with dogs and cats, and I like them. I’m a 9-year-old Beagle, about 40 pounds. Foster mom says I’m “just a wonderful dude.” If I could be your happy guy, please ask TALGV to arrange a meet and greet for us.

Hi… my name is Chester.

Adopted December 6, 2015

If I do say so myself, I’m a special kind of guy – American Bulldog and Beagle, which means I’m built a little low to the ground and very high on cute. You could say I’m the best of two worlds! I’m proud of my 48-pound Bulldog build, and my handsome brown and white ears.   And I do speak Beagle, so I hope you like the Beagle Bark.   The couple I lived with said I was ‘gentle and tolerant’ with visiting kids, and although I can be a little picky when it comes to making dog friends and might prefer to be your only canine pal, I already have a working relationship with one of the other TALGV dogs. If you and I become pals, I’ll show you my loving side with lots of kisses.  Please come visit and see how special we are together!

Hi… my name is Ginger.

It’s not that I didn’t love kids (mine), but I have to say I am SO happy that I won’t have raise any more! When I was found on Abrego Drive, it was obvious that I’d had a litter recently, but they were nowhere to be seen, so I hope some good soul found homes for them. I’m a 20-pound, round-about 4-year-old, “Puggle” mix (that’s Pug and Beagle in case you didn’t figure it out!), and I’m super fond of people (and probably kids too), walk well on a leash, am housetrained, and just generally a wonderfully sweet lady. Given that I’ve been around the block a few times, I’m going to be ever so happy to settle down with an active family who will let me have the rest of my years (and they’ll be quite a few!) enjoying their attentions and being the loving companion that I’m meant to be without the distractions of motherhood!
