Hi… my name is Paul,

Adopted July 14, 2016

Not long ago, my friend (probably sister) Mary and I were little puppies with big worries! At just 3 months old, 5 and 7 pounds, we were more than lost—we were lost in the desert. A rancher said we’d been there for 3 days and nights. I can tell you we were very hungry and thirsty, and counting our lucky stars to have been found in time. My finder described me as particularly shy, hard to pick up at first, but I’m learning to feel safe now. Indeed, I’m learning lots of new things—how to play, cuddle, go on walks, and be happy with your person. As a Chihuahua mix, I’ll always be little, but life has given me a great big heart. Won’t you let me give you all my love?

Not long ago, my friend (probably brother) Paul and I were little puppies with big worries! At just 3 months old, 5 and 7 pounds, we were more than lost—we were lost in the desert. A rancher said we’d been there for 3 days and nights. I can tell you we were very hungry and thirsty, and counting our lucky stars to have been found in time. My finder described me as appearing “tough” but becoming very sweet when held, and I’m learning to feel safe now. Indeed, I’m learning lots of new things—how to play, cuddle, go on walks, and be happy with your person. As a Chihuahua mix, I’ll always be little, but life has given me a great big heart. Hi… my name is Dove,

Adopted June 15, 2016

I’ll share the sad part of my story first: I was abandoned, left behind when my person moved. And there may have been more cause for sadness before that, but I’m okay now—safe and cared for at TALGV—so let’s move on quickly to the good stuff. The walks, cozy blankets and soft bed here are great, and best of all I love the kindnesses—the gentle touches and sweet words. They tell me to say more about myself, so here goes: I’m 5 years old, a luscious cream color with charcoal highlights, female, and little. I hope you like little, cause I can’t really get bigger. And the main thing: I’ll give my whole heart to the person who adds true love and kindness to my life forever. Please say that’s you.

Hi… my name is Elroy,

Adopted September 12, 2016

Major changes at home meant there was no one there but me. I’d been alone for some time, lonely and without the help a dog needs from a person, so I was glad to come back to TALGV for the company, the care, and the chance to find a happy new home that will last forever! At just 10 pounds and 2-1/2 years old, I’m little—a tan Chihuahua mix male (feel free to make a guess at mixed with what because I really don’t know)—but my personality is big. I’m an outgoing kind of guy, full of energy and playfulness, who notices people and loves their attention. If you and I get together, I’m sure we’ll have lots of fun and be real good for each other. Please come meet me today!

Hi… my name is Lolita,

Adopted June 11, 2016

Even though I don’t have a home or person of my own right now, I consider myself one lucky little dog! At just 7 pounds, I might be easily missed on a big road, but when I scurried across La Canada, a very alert person spotted me. Then she stopped and rescued me! Whew! That close call was a good reminder of how wonderful people can be. And now I’m hoping to find another wonderful person, or persons, who will spot me here. If you stop in to say hi, you’ll see that I’m very friendly and really love people. And if you take me home and love me, I’ll do my best to bring more happiness and laughter to your life every day. I’m a 5-year-old Chihuahua female, who’d love to be yours!

Hi… my name is Jack,

Adopted June 9, 2016

Have you ever been completely happy for someone else, but a little sad for yourself at the same time? That’s what I’m feeling because my dog friend Jill was adopted and I’m still looking for my new home. We were lost together. For one week we stayed in a neighborhood where a kind lady gave us food and water, and then she brought us here. Jill found her new people quickly—no surprise since we’re both adorable—and now I’m hoping it’s my turn! I’m just 2 years old and a little guy; at 8-1/2 pounds, I’m a great size for playing and cuddling, fun and quiet times. Won’t you please take me home today and introduce me to the good life—the happy life we can share for a long time to come!

Rex

Hi… my name is Rex,

Adopted June 28, 2016

I’m looking for a new home and want to put my best paw forward, so here’s my little dog resume: I’m a 5-year-old Chihuahua mix male, mainly white with tan touches, who loves to cuddle. I lived with my first family for five years, ever since I was a puppy, and they reported I was gentle and tolerant with the two kids, got along with the other family dogs, and was well behaved even when not on a leash. What I especially want you to know is that your attention will mean the world to me; I enjoy car rides; and I’m a great lap dog—just 11 pounds and, as I may have mentioned, I love to cuddle. How about we get together today and make each other happy for a long time to come!
