Hi… my name is Lolita,

Adopted June 11, 2016

Even though I don’t have a home or person of my own right now, I consider myself one lucky little dog! At just 7 pounds, I might be easily missed on a big road, but when I scurried across La Canada, a very alert person spotted me. Then she stopped and rescued me! Whew! That close call was a good reminder of how wonderful people can be. And now I’m hoping to find another wonderful person, or persons, who will spot me here. If you stop in to say hi, you’ll see that I’m very friendly and really love people. And if you take me home and love me, I’ll do my best to bring more happiness and laughter to your life every day. I’m a 5-year-old Chihuahua female, who’d love to be yours!

Hi… my name is Jack,

Adopted June 9, 2016

Have you ever been completely happy for someone else, but a little sad for yourself at the same time? That’s what I’m feeling because my dog friend Jill was adopted and I’m still looking for my new home. We were lost together. For one week we stayed in a neighborhood where a kind lady gave us food and water, and then she brought us here. Jill found her new people quickly—no surprise since we’re both adorable—and now I’m hoping it’s my turn! I’m just 2 years old and a little guy; at 8-1/2 pounds, I’m a great size for playing and cuddling, fun and quiet times. Won’t you please take me home today and introduce me to the good life—the happy life we can share for a long time to come!

Rex

Hi… my name is Rex,

Adopted June 28, 2016

I’m looking for a new home and want to put my best paw forward, so here’s my little dog resume: I’m a 5-year-old Chihuahua mix male, mainly white with tan touches, who loves to cuddle. I lived with my first family for five years, ever since I was a puppy, and they reported I was gentle and tolerant with the two kids, got along with the other family dogs, and was well behaved even when not on a leash. What I especially want you to know is that your attention will mean the world to me; I enjoy car rides; and I’m a great lap dog—just 11 pounds and, as I may have mentioned, I love to cuddle. How about we get together today and make each other happy for a long time to come!

Hi… my name is Canelo,

Adopted July 3, 2016

I know what it is to be left behind, but that doesn’t have to be the worst thing ever. My person couldn’t have his dogs at his new place, so now I’m here, very well taken care of until my special someone finds me. My former person said I like children and I’m good with people, and at just 10 pounds, I’m easy to hold and cuddle. At my previous home, I was an outdoor dog, so you can imagine how much I’ll love the comforts of an indoor life. Add your love to that and I’ll be in little doggie heaven! I’m 3 years old, a Chihuahua/Poodle mix male, brown and white with the cutest face you could hope to see and a very friendly disposition. Won’t you please make me yours today!

Hi… my name is Katey,

Adopted July 20, 2016

I’m a little dog with a great big story of danger, rescue, love, and new beginnings! I was very frightened when found outside a gas station, too thin and yet with a distended belly. I bet you can guess why. Here at TALGV, it was confirmed that I was pregnant, and on May 20th I gave birth to six tiny babies! What a joy and a relief! If you think I’m small (and I truly am), you should see my little ones. Right now, I’m busy being a good mom, but once my babies are about 7 weeks old, I’ll be ready to go to a new home, too. In the meantime, I’m receiving great care, excellent nutrition, and so much love that I have it to share. Please come see us real soon.

Hi… my name is Taylor,

Adopted May 15, 2016

At just 11 pounds and 1 year old, you can imagine how scary it was for me to be wandering a busy street all alone. I was so relieved to be rescued by a caring person who kept me for a couple of weeks to see if anyone claimed me. In that time, my finder said, I enjoyed being with the two other small dogs in the home. The word used to describe me was “sweet,” and my friends at TALGV say the same thing; they call me their sweetie. They also sing my praises for qualities that come naturally to me—being friendly, playful, and loving. I’m an adorable little Chihuahua female looking forward to many happy years ahead. How about I spend them being the best little companion possible to wonderful you!

Adopted 1-18-17

MARKIE is a 3-year old male, Chihuahua/corgi mix.  He is neutered and up to date on his shots.  He will do best with a little lady dog or even better, as the only dog – Top Dog as he likes to think of it.  Markie is a love bug and enjoys being spoken to, sitting on a lap or up against you.  He chases a cat that runs from him but ignores another one.  Markie walks well on a leash and is well behaved when you pick him up to run in a store or stop at a stand, etc.  He isn’t into other dogs; he pretty much ignores them. He loves his person and those times when you can’t take him with you, he will be watching out from the window for your return. There is no adoption fee.

If you will welcome Markie into a loving home as part of your family, please call Marilyn between 8 AM and 8 PM at 517-304-6946.
