I’m a pint-sized social butterfly who believes every stranger is just a friend I haven’t met yet. I was loved dearly, but my owner’s health made it hard to keep up with me, so here I am—ready to steal some new hearts! I adore laps, “scratchies,” and “smooches,” and I’ll melt right into your arms for both. Walks are my favorite adventure as there are so many people and pups out there who clearly need to meet me! I arrived with another little dog, but we are not a bonded pair, so we can be adopted separately. For a little lady, I’m not very yappy—but rather, wonderfully happy! For many lovely years, my special person and I shared a quiet, happy life. But when her health issues meant she had to go elsewhere, I came to The Animal League and what a big change that’s been. All the company, activities and commotion! For several days, I just stayed on my little bed and watched. But it turns out that this old dog can adjust! I’m now eating the food served here, occasionally step out to greet people, and walk well on leash with my new friends. (They’ve noticed I potty only on those walks outside.) Before he passed, my dad asked his caregivers to find homes for my friend Luca and me. After a couple of weeks, and having no luck, we were brought to TALGV to help us find our new forever homes. Upon arrival I was scared and confused, but with Luca’s presence and support, I soon adjusted to my new situation. I may take a little time to trust, but once I do, I’ll show you my sweet, affectionate side, and if a lap is made available, I’ll happily sit on it and offer you kisses. I enjoy my daily exercise and walk well on a leash. Now, could I tempt you into taking an outstanding, loving companion home with you? Throw in a large helping of love and I’m yours…forever!

Like all the other dogs here, my companion and I arrived at TALGV through no fault of our own. Since my buddy was a little dog, he found a new home quickly. The volunteers learned I make friends easily and quickly found me another canine roommate. Wouldn’t you know, HE got adopted, too. While I’m now bunked with my third kennel mate, I can’t help but wonder who is looking for a handsome, easy-going guy with prior experience of living in a home. I have house manners, am house trained, and walk well on a leash. I have lived with very young children. I’m neither too energetic nor a couch potato. I’m not too big or too small. As Goldilocks would proclaim, I’m “just right.” Come visit me, and see for yourself. Perhaps you’ll find I’m the puzzle piece who fits in perfectly with you and your family. See you soon!

In my own calm and sweet way, I’m probably one of the friendliest dogs you’ll meet. And it’s no secret why: I simply love giving and receiving attention. Maybe that comes from having lived with several large and small dogs, plus cats, all at once! Today, when a kind person gives me some special one-on-one time, you’ll see my happy tail wagging. Going for walks is fun, too. I’m good on leash and even as an 8-year-old, there’s a lot of pep in my step. Of course, life hasn’t always been fun and games. When our person had to leave, we needed major help. Thankfully, that came with the wonderful neighbor who brought me here, where I now have the chance to meet you! Who knows? We might become each other’s best friend forever.
