Hi… my name is Jerry.
Adopted November 14, 2014.
As anyone who’s ever had a Basset hound or a Dachshund can tell you, we’re just about the most delightful dogs in the world — and I’m no exception! I totally ADORE people (and the attention that comes from them!), I have a sweet, happy temperament, love walks and car rides, playing fetch, and am just plain very smart. I’m crate trained, but I’m still working on perfect house manners, but the volunteers making sure I get lots of “good examples” here! I get along with other dogs, am curious about cats, but am not terribly fond of little kids, so all I need to be the perfect companion is consistency in my training. If you’ve got that, have I got a deal for you!
Arrived September 3, 2014.
Read MoreHi… my name is Reno.
I was adopted July 24, 2014.
I’ve been getting to spend time with a foster mom and she has SO many good things to say about me! She says, “Reno is an energetic, fun-loving pup. He spends a good deal of time with our two big, female dogs, and he plays well and respects them. He’s crate-trained and “almost” housebroken.” She says I’m a “busy” boy (well, I’m still a puppy!), so I have a lot of energy to burn off (another dog to play with and a lively family would help with that!), but when I’m done, I really “crash!” They’re saying that I’m probably a Doxie/Chihuahua mix, but I think there’s some Min Pin “going on” too as I’ve got a lot of typical terrier energy. So if you’re into an active lifestyle, I want to join you!

Hi… my name is Dieter.
Adopted April 5, 2014.
If “people friendly, high energy, good walker, and loves toys” appeals to you in a little (16-pound) canine friend, then I’m just made for you! I was found with a very bad neck wound by a Good Samaritan who brought me to TALGV right away and they zoomed me over to a vet to be cared for. I’m happy to tell you that all is well now (I am really happy to be out of the “e-collar” that I had to wear for a while!), and I’m now actively (literally!) looking for a family where I can hunker down and get on with a normal “best friend” kind of life. I’m about a year old, and a delightful mix of Dachshund and something else, and I know that you’ll celebrate the day you take me home and make me part of your life for years to come!
