Heidi is a sweet, obedient, and loyal 8-year-old, 75-pound German Shepherd female who needs a new home. She is crate trained, leash trained, and thoroughly obedience trained. She is housebroken and asks to go out. She is in good health, spayed, up to date on shots and medical records are available. Heidi is easily trained and is not protective of food or toys, but she does not get along well with other dogs; cats and children are unknown. She can be shy until she gets to know you and has mostly been around men. She likes walking but also likes to relax with her person. There is no adoption fee for this special girl. If you will welcome Heidi into a loving home as part of your family, please call Ryan between 9 AM and 10 PM at 520-237-9855.

Hi… my name is Mr. White,

RAINBOW BRIDGE – 7-12-22

Just think, a dog with a title! That’s me! I think, as a 12-year-old German Shepherd mix gentleman, I’ve earned it. I love most people of all ages and get along with other dogs (lived with five of them), but I don’t like cats, and I’ll chase rabbits. I’m house trained, leash trained, can use a doggie door, and know how to “sit” when told. I’m a lovable, affectionate family dog who loves to go for walks, and is calm in the house, but I don’t like thunderstorms. Since I’m considered a senior citizen, I come with Vet Care Support for Life. If you take me home, I think you and I could enjoy each other’s company as long as you DON’T have cats.

Hi… my name is Milo,

Adopted 3-3-20

Here I am, a 4-year-old German Shepherd, a big boy who’s looking for his forever home. I was recently living in a shelter when someone adopted me and moved me to Green Valley. It was about three weeks later that he brought me to TALGV, possibly because I didn’t get along with the resident cat. He described me as a people-loving, passive, and gentle boy but I will guard my toys. He also said that I ask to go out, and I know the commands “no” and “come.” I really don’t like being left alone! Even though I have some nerve damage in my back legs, it doesn’t stop me from going for a walk. Please come in and you will see how impressive I am. I’ll be here, just ask for me by name, M-I-L-O.

Hi… my name is Buddy,

Adopted 2-14-20

Comes with post-adoption support.

I’m a laid back, loving buddy to any and all who want to be my friend. I was lost and sick, and my rescuer saved my life by bringing me here. I was very underweight, and the vet discovered I had untreated diabetes. I was so tired, but now with my insulin treatments and correct diet, I’m returning to health. Folks here say I’m an affectionate, quiet, easy-peasy guy who’s totally cooperative with my insulin injections. (I also come with post-adoption support to help offset the costs associated with my diabetes.) TALGV volunteers have given me a warm coat to wear and a soft bed to snuggle in. When they visit me, I gently greet them with gratitude. I often overhear them outside my kennel saying, “That Buddy is a love!” That’s what I have in spades for the person who sees I’m worthy of their care and takes me home.

Hi… my name is Rochelle,

Adopted 7-26-18

Dogs like me, a 3-year-old German Shepherd female, have been called “a dog lover’s delight”—an encouraging thought in a year that’s sometimes been topsy-turvy. First, I was brought here with my canine buddy Lucas because our person developed serious health concerns. Then, after we’d been happily adopted again, our new people had landlord issues and couldn’t keep us. We were all sad, having quickly grown to love each other very much. Indeed, “very loving” was one way they described me, along with reporting I was gentle and tolerant with kids ages 7 through 18, leash-trained, and used the doggie door. These days, you can understand why a stable, loving home will mean so much to me, and if that can be with you, I’ll gladly be the happy dog by your side forever.
