Animal League News

Hi… my name is Dominick,

Sometimes the universe is just on your side, ya’ know? I was running loose with my buddy, looking for my next meal, when someone brought us to TALGV. We weren’t sure if we should be scared or not, but then they gave us SO much good food, a bath, a soft bed, and all of these people who were loving on us, and I realized that this is all okay with me. I like food…a lot…but I also like all the snuggles and cuddles. I’m a handsome, intelligent boy who is excellent on a leash and easy to train due to my affinity for snacks. I’m ready for my own home and family. I trust that the universe will bring me the right person; am I meant to be a part of your family?

If you are considering adoption, please call TALGV office (520-625-3170) and make a date to meet me soon. Kennel appointments are between 10 and 2 every day.

Hi… my name is Timothy,

Adopted 3-8-25

Not to brag, but since you stopped to read my bio (thanks!), you should know that in addition to my obvious good looks and irresistible personality, I’ve got brains to match! Oh, I’m humble too – LOL! I’ve been told I’m so good on leash walks, that I should offer Beginning, Intermediate, and Advanced classes for my canine friends here. I’m neutered, well-mannered, and love to explore the world on walks. I was found as a stray and taken in by a kind person who got me all vetted, but I can’t stay with them due to landlord restrictions. I’m best in a home without small animals, however, if you have another (not-small) dog, maybe we can meet? If you’re looking for a loyal, intelligent, and easygoing companion, I might be your perfect match!

Hi… my name is Rocket,

Adopted 11-29-24

I earned my name with my piercing blue eyes and striking markings that help me shoot my way straight to your heart. I’m a traffic-stopper, which is why I was discovered on a roadside where a nice person brought me to TALGV. I have a gorgeous white and grey coat that says Husky, but my unique blend means I’m smaller than my fuzzy cousins, making me a perfect size for your home. I get along well with other dogs, seem to like cats, and wouldn’t mind sharing a home with a buddy. I am a discriminating gentleman who chooses my human friends carefully, but if you’re willing to spend time getting to know me, you’ll earn my trust and love, and we can blast off into our new life together.

Hi… my name is Denali,

Adopted 6-12-24

Somehow, I became a “lost” dog! This isn’t the best-case scenario that a 3-year-old, male Husky would choose for himself. Nevertheless, here I am, found and residing at TALGV. I can’t bark about my accommodations, food, or the wonderful care I’m receiving. In fact, I’m pretty satisfied! I also enjoy being the recipient of a massage on spa day. Plus, I got a much- needed brushing. There’s nothing like being spoiled! I walk pretty well on a leash but sometimes need to be reminded not to pull. I usually “sit” when told, and only time will tell what else I may know. I’m a very outgoing, friendly boy who loves getting attention. I recently acquired a roommate, and sharing a room with another dog is fine, but I’d rather share a home with you!

Hi… my name is Diamond,

Adopted 4-27-24

After being found in Arivaca, I looked like I’d been through the wars. I was brought to The Animal League where I was checked over, treated and made to feel safe and at home. After all that, my true self shone through proving that I’m a gentle, calm and sweet girl. I walk well on a leash and understand the commands “sit” and “leave it.” I’m an approximately 2-year-old, white, female Husky with beautiful blue eyes that seem to look deep into your soul. I travel well in a car and enjoy going on fun outings. I passed the “cat test” and seem to show an interest in children. There is another thing I’m interested in, my own forever home. All I offer and ask of you in return is love and companionship forever.
