Hi… my name is Cha Cha,

Adopted 9-13-23

Super-cute, smart, and sociable girl seeks dance partners who love to go on walks, play, have cuddle time and just have all-around fun. I arrived at TALGV with my brothers who’ve since been adopted, but for some unknown reason, I’m STILL waiting for my forever home. I’m a husky/staffie mix, which means I’m naturally adorable, eager to learn and live to make people happy. I love other dogs and have had several playmates – who all seem to get adopted. Maybe I’m a good-luck charm who helps others find their new family. Now it’s my turn. I just KNOW my people are out there somewhere. Why not meet me on the dance floor and let me show you my fancy foot work and find my way right into your heart… and home forever.

If you are considering adoption, please call TALGV office (520-625-3170) and make a date to meet me soon. Kennel appointments are between 10 and 2 every day.

Hi… my name is Glory,

Adopted with Honor 9-10-23

Once upon a time there were three puppies who came to TALGV together, and I was one of them! Volunteers said I was friendly even on that first day, probably because I’d been around people before. But living indoors was new to me and I’m loving it! Oh, I’m an active pup who loves playing outside, but having my own comfy, safe place inside, too, is probably what a forever home feels like. I hope so.  These days, I’m practicing leash-walking and learning what important words like “sit,” “down,” and “wait” mean. I’m also eating well and growing, on my way to being a good-size dog. I’m an affectionate, beautiful black and white Husky/Staffie mix female who’d really like to meet you. Won’t you please come visit?

If you are considering adoption, please call TALGV office (520-625-3170) and make a date to meet me soon. Kennel appointments are between 10 and 2 every day.

Hi… my name is Banner,

Adopted 3-10-24

First, let me say I can run, jump, and get dirty like any dog. Indeed, I love going to the play yard to chase balls, jump in a pool in warm weather, and happily engage in rowdy play with a canine pal. But there’s another side to me, too. I know how to be calm and loving, grateful for a person’s attention and affection. Recently some volunteers gave me a bath and described my behavior as perfect, “an amazing gentleman” during the bath, gorgeous and soft afterward. I share my run with another dog and he’s fun company but some of my favorite times are with friendly humans. I’m a handsome Husky/ Staffie mix male with a black coat and white markings, who’d welcome the chance to share playful, tranquil, and contented times with you.

Hi… my name is Honor,

Adopted with Glory 9-10-23

On my first day here, when a volunteer looked into my deep brown eyes and said, “Welcome to TALGV,” I didn’t know what to think. But I do now! I’ve always had fun playing with my siblings or people, but now I think my learning job is fun, too. For instance, I enjoy practicing with volunteers on what to do for words like “sit,” “stay,” or “wait.” (I’m already good on “sit” and learning more.) I love being outdoors and active, so working on leash-walking is also important for me. As a Husky/Staffie mix female, likely to grow into a good-size dog, I look forward to regular exercise with my person. So, what do you think? Will an active, friendly, growing and learning pup be fun for you? Please visit me and we’ll see!

If you are considering adoption, please call TALGV office (520-625-3170) and make a date to meet me soon. Kennel appointments are between 10 and 2 every day.

Hi… my name is Tonka,

Adopted 4-16-23

The caring human who found me wandering between Walmart and Old Nogales Highway brought me here, where I’m safe and can find my forever home. Two things TALGV volunteers noticed about me right away: I’m a sweet, friendly guy, and I like people! In my calm and easygoing way, I light up when a friend comes to see me. And when you say “sit,” “come,” or “down,” I know what to do.  “Stay” is a little harder because when you walk away, I want to come with you, but I’m learning.  I’m a one-year-old male with beautiful blue eyes, a copper coat, and a loving, gentle nature. People here call me a young guy with lots of potential. If you think we could be the best of friends, I’m hoping you’ll call me yours.

Hi… my name is Lila,

Adopted 1-18-24

My foster home was just what I needed! It didn’t take long for me to feel at home and comfortable around the family. I was always ready to greet them on their return home! Almost immediately, the resident dog and I became friends and had fun playing together. I quickly learned my way around the house, which made me feel more secure and relaxed. At The Animal League, for my outside breaks, and the use of the potty, I use the doggie door. I may not like thunder, but being close to someone helps alleviate any anxiety I may have. One might think that since I’m blind, due to glaucoma, I couldn’t be happy. They’d be wrong! Why don’t you come over and meet me, and find out all about me. To me, happiness is good food, a soft bed, and your family to share my love!

Hi… my name is Tally,

Adopted by previous owner with Hemi 1-14-23

My mom, Hemi, and I came to TALGV together after our people could no longer take care of us. Several of my brothers and sisters lived with us, too, and I guess it got to be too much. I really love my Mom, so we need to be adopted together. I am particular about whom I trust and I need some time to warm up to new people. Since we do better as a pair, we should be your only dogs. They say we are pretty well behaved and know to use the doggie door. The two of us want to stay together when we go home with our forever family. Do you think you can open your heart (and home) to us two big girls?
