Hi… my name is Jordy,

Adopted 6-11-25

COMES WITH VET CARE SUPPORT FOR LIFE

I’m a mature lab mix with a heart full of love and a PhD in Smoochology (heavy emphasis on Muchas Pooches Smooches). I was adopted over 9 years ago and lived the ranch life with my amazing dad. But after he was injured, I found myself back at the shelter. Life threw me a curveball, but I’m still wagging and ready for a fresh start. Don’t let the senior status fool you—I’ve still got plenty of get-up-and-go (especially if there’s a leash or snack involved). I’m retired from ranch duties but would thrive as your neighborhood watch captain—on foot, of course. I’m a strong walker, especially when I see other dogs. I just need a reminder of the task at hand. If you’re looking for a loyal buddy, I’m your guy. Ready, willing and able!                                                                                                   (5-2025)

Hi… my name is Ebony,

Adopted 5-15-25

When people think of the ideal dog, they usually think of a sweet, lovable, well-mannered girl who can walk nicely on a leash and watch Jeopardy with them. Guess what? It’s your lucky day because that perfectly describes ME! I’m a lab mix with a heart of gold who enjoys belly rubs (so much), walks, and snuggling next to a human. I’m a little timid when I first meet someone, but I have the heart of a hunter, as evidenced by the fact that I like to “point” at things that interest me, and I am an avid birdwatcher. I’d be happy to spend evenings with you enjoying the sunset and watching the world go by as the best of friends. Please come by and throw a ball for me; if you’re patient, I may just bring it back!

Hi… my name is Coco (aka Lola Belle),

Adopted 4-5-25

I am a pretty, sweet, medium sized dog with a beautiful, all-black coat. A nice lady took me in when my owners did not have time for me. Despite my age, she said I was good while in her house but that I need some help with potty training. She had other dogs and they showed me that life can be quite different from what I was used to. Even now I am most comfortable when I have a doggy companion who is confident around people. It helps me to come out of my shell to enjoy getting treats and being petted. Do you have a dog who could use some company and be my mentor? Then look no further and come to see me!  (8-2022)

Gracie is a smart, loving, and energetic 2-year-old, 80-pound German Shepherd/Lab mix female who needs a new home due to owners’ medical issues. She rides well, is good on leash and would appreciate daily long walks. She is crate trained, house trained and will ask to go out. Gracie responds to hand signals and voice commands sit, come, and stay. She is spayed and in good health. She loves to fetch and catch her ball and enjoys her peanut butter toy. Gracie loves her humans and will stay close beside you; she also gets along with other dogs and cats; children are her favorites. She likes to watch animal shows on TV. Gracie will love having attention in an active home and learning how to be your best friend. There is no adoption fee for this special girl. If you will welcome Gracie into a loving home as part of your family, please call Jimmy any time at 954-504-2713.

Hi… my name is Apollo,

Are you a looking for happy, fluffy boy to become part of your family? Are you more of an introvert who prefers to keep your social circle small? Do you have only older kids or no kids? Do you like to go for long walks or hikes? Would you be willing to take the time to learn about my quirks (I mean, we all have them, right?) and understand I need time to get to know people? Here’s my promise: I won’t leave the toilet seat up, raid the refrigerator, or even leave dirty laundry on the floor. I will bring lots of joy and laughter and be a great walking buddy.  Most of all, I will give you lots of love and devotion. Could you handle all this awesomeness in your life?

If you are considering adoption, please call TALGV office (520-625-3170) and make a date to meet me soon. Kennel appointments are between 10 and 2 every day.

Leo

Hi… my name is Leo,

Adopted 9-7-4

Why doesn’t every neighborhood welcome dogs? Three years ago my littermate and I were adopted as pups. Life was blissful and we were cherished members of a loving family. Unfortunately, circumstances changed and my family had to move to one of those places that doesn’t allow dogs. I dream every night of a family who sees the friendly, playful, polite, obedient, and handsome young guy I am, and decide to make me part of their family. It will be my “Happily Ever After!”  While I wait I’ve made both human and canine friends. I adore car rides, especially ones that end with a ‘pup cup’ —I’ve even mastered ordering at drive-thrus! How smart is that? Come meet me at TALGV or give them a call to learn more about how I could brighten your days!

Hi… my name is Luna (aka Aurora),

Adopted 7-28-24

Like the other dogs, I’m here through no fault of my own.   Three years ago, my littermate and I were adopted as pups. We had a wonderful life! Then something changed and my family had to move to one of those places that doesn’t allow dogs. Why do such places exist? How boring! So, I am back at TALGV and trying my best to catch the attention of shelter visitors. While I’m a little shy, I do enjoy meeting people and am friendly and polite with other dogs. I obviously have experience living in a home and can easily learn new routines my new family would have. What do you say? Does your family need a four-legged companion like me? I hope so! Call or visit TALGV and ask to meet me! I’ll be waiting!
