What do people love about Dominoes? They’re easy to play with, fun, and really distinct, which perfectly describes me. I am a sweet girl who is easy-going and full of love. My spotted coat and blue eyes make me stand out in a crowd. I seem to be able to get along with other dogs since I had a buddy when I arrived at TALGV, but I’m ready to join a new home with a warm bed and daily food delivery. I am energetic but know how to sit and wait (especially if you offer a treat). I walk well on a leash and love to sniff the world outside. Sometimes the universe is just on your side, ya’ know? I was running loose with my buddy, looking for my next meal, when someone brought us to TALGV. We weren’t sure if we should be scared or not, but then they gave us SO much good food, a bath, a soft bed, and all of these people who were loving on us, and I realized that this is all okay with me. I like food…a lot…but I also like all the snuggles and cuddles. I’m a handsome, intelligent boy who is excellent on a leash and easy to train due to my affinity for snacks. I’m ready for my own home and family. I trust that the universe will bring me the right person; am I meant to be a part of your family?

My siblings and I were found all alone, six 8-week-old puppies, near a busy road. That was our rocky beginning but look at us now! We’ve been growing and learning, getting accustomed to collars and leashes, and having all kinds of fun. Of course, we have our individual personalities, but attributes we share include a love of playing every day, healthy appetites and being super smart! (That “super smart” part should help with learning lots of important dog lessons!) We have the confidence for adventure, a puppy supply of energy, and volunteers say we’re all doing well on our daily walks. I’m Mango, a beautiful Hound mix female with expressive dark brown eyes. For many lovely years, my special person and I shared a quiet, happy life. But when her health issues meant she had to go elsewhere, I came to The Animal League and what a big change that’s been. All the company, activities and commotion! For several days, I just stayed on my little bed and watched. But it turns out that this old dog can adjust! I’m now eating the food served here, occasionally step out to greet people, and walk well on leash with my new friends. (They’ve noticed I potty only on those walks outside.) And thanks to my age, I have Vet Care Support for Life! So that’s me: A dog in my golden years who could be a perfect match for a kind, loving someone. Could that be you?

Oh, I’m humble too – LOL! I’ve been told I’m so good on leash walks, that I should offer Beginning, Intermediate, and Advanced classes for my canine friends here. I’m neutered, well-mannered, and love to explore the world on walks. I was found as a stray and taken in by a kind person who got me all vetted, but I can’t stay with them due to landlord restrictions. Tuxedo

Hi… my name is Tuxedo,

When people meet me, they can’t help but notice my striking black coat with the perfect amount of white, but it’s the “ridge” of hair down my back that really makes me stand out. I’m a pup who was found in a parking lot. I got along well with the dogs of the people who found me, but I want my own home, so I came to TALGV in search of a family. I am already a favorite as I am cuddly, patient, and relaxed (for a puppy). I am learning to walk on a leash, and I plan to have it down in no time so that I can enjoy my new home and any new playmates. I will probably be a medium-to-large boy. I’m waiting, all dressed up and ready, for you.

Here’s the first thing I learned at The Animal League: Puppies need love. When my siblings and I arrived as six little pups without a home, TALGV volunteers made us feel loved right away by giving us food, water, and a cozy, safe place to be. We received careful, individual attention, and soon had our own collars, toys to share, and lots of volunteers for friends. These days, we’re learning things good dogs know in fun, one-on-one times volunteers call “training.” Plus, we’re becoming explorers, going for walks outside on our own leashes with a TALGV person for each of us. I’m Poppy, one of the girls, with a black and tan coat, deep brown eyes, and this big promise: If you choose to take me home, I’m ready to love you back forever.

My siblings and I arrived here as very young puppies in desperate need of a safe place to be. Our mom was adopted after our person died, but no one wanted us. Until we came here. The TALGV volunteers became our best friends, giving us food, water, cozy sleep spots, and lots of caring attention. We’ve had fun playing puppy games, learning to go on walks, and even participating in “training,” a treat-earning activity that people seem to think is important. And now, we’re told, the best is yet to come. It’s called adoption, which happens when someone wonderful chooses you to love. I’m Tulip, a female puppy whose coat is black and tan with a touch of white, who’s eager to play, learn and love you back forever. Will you please choose me?

My siblings and I are so busy these days—growing and learning—that I don’t even think about that time when we were scared little puppies in a box. Our person had died, our mom was adopted, and no one wanted us. But then we met the TALGV volunteers! They gave us food, water, cozy sleep spots, and lots of caring attention. And now, each of us is growing, having fun, and learning good-dog lessons every day. I’m Pansy, a black and tan female, and I’m enjoying training time. Yes, it takes lots of patience from the person who’s teaching me, but I say just being together makes it a happy time. And when will I have my best day ever? When someone wonderful like you chooses me to love, and we go home together!
