Hi… my name is Freckles,

Adopted 8-5-23

With ears like mine, one MUST have a sense of humor.  I’ve heard I remind people of a long-ago TV show: The Flying Nun.  Whatever. I can’t fly, but I DO have what all puppies and dogs have: the ability to make you fall in love with me. I have lots of love to give – especially if you can provide me what puppies require: Exercise, Training, Socialization, etc. If you have other playful dogs and even cats, all the better! I may grow into my oversized ears, or maybe not. Seriously though, have you ever seen such a cute guy? Aside from the other available dogs at TALGV, I mean – LOL!  Maybe you’ll find room in your home and heart for me and my ears? Call and set up an appointment to meet me soon!

Hi… my name is Princess,

Adopted 8-5-23

In my own calm and sweet way, I’m probably one of the friendliest dogs you’ll meet. And it’s no secret why: I simply love giving and receiving attention.  Maybe that comes from having lived with several large and small dogs, plus cats, all at once! Today, when a kind person gives me some special one-on-one time, you’ll see my happy tail wagging. Going for walks is fun, too. I’m good on leash and even as an 8-year-old, there’s a lot of pep in my step. Of course, life hasn’t always been fun and games.  When our person had to leave, we needed major help. Thankfully, that came with the wonderful neighbor who brought me here, where I now have the chance to meet you! Who knows? We might become each other’s best friend forever.

Hi… my name is Dixon,

Adopted 8-18-23

When I was adopted from TALGV about a year ago, I was an adorable puppy. I may have been big for my age but who could guess how much I’d grow in the months to come. Certainly not my adoptive parents! So here I am, a handsome, 1 ½-year-old, 94 lb. Great Dane/Boxer mix, who’s looking for a home. I know how to “sit” and ask to go out. Since I’m a high energy boy, I’ll need someone strong enough to teach me proper leash walking skills, all the basic commands, and good manners (since I’ve been told I should never jump up on people…no matter how lovable I am). I know that once we’ve completed my education, I’ll be a perfect gentleman who’ll make you proud! The adventure begins…are you ready?

Hi… my name is Buster (aka Rav),

Adopted 7-16-23

I am a short little guy with a tooth that sometimes peeks out and people say I make them laugh. I like hearing it because usually they laugh and then immediately scratch behind my ears. My mom could no longer take care of me and Lizbeth, but she said that I got along well with kids and that I like some other animals but not all. She also mentioned that I was good when left alone in the house. You should know that I’m a bit of an adventurer, so a fenced yard where I can roam about would be just great! Or we can take walks together, perhaps to the park? If you like that and a companion to snuggle with at the end of the day, I’m here, waiting!

Hi… my name is Luna,

Adopted 6-27-23

You know that lovely saying about stopping to smell the roses? Well, that’s been a favorite activity of mine—going on walks and smelling the flowers. I take that nice and easy approach when meeting new people, too, which can make them think I’m independent. It’s true I’m not one to brag, but I do want you to know about my good qualities. With my former owner, who had to give me up due to changes in her life, I was housetrained, leash-trained, lived with a cat, and good in the house when alone. I’m a tan and white 3-year-old Chihuahua mix female, and if you’re willing to give us time to get to know each other, I could become the loving companion you’re looking for. Please come visit and give me the chance.

COMES WITH VET CARE SUPPORT FOR LIFE

My heart is in the process of healing. Not only did I lose my home, I also lost the most important people and the only family I’ve ever known since they adopted me as a puppy over twelve years ago. I’m fortunate to be in a foster home where my broken heart can mend. I’m shy when first meeting new people, but I’m a friendly girl, accustomed to a quiet home.  I do enjoy walks where I can inspect all the wonderful scents and enjoy the outdoors when it’s cool outside. Since I’m one of the amazing Senior dogs, my adopter will get the added benefit of my having Vet Care Support for Life.  Please check back for updates as my foster mom learns more about me, but make an appointment to meet me soon.

Jif

Hi… my name is Jif,

Adopted 6-25-23

When my friend (Skippy) and I were “dropped off” at TALGV’s parking lot, we were so confused and afraid that we kept running away from our future rescuers. Then Skippy was caught, and when I saw how well he was being cared for, I decided to stay in the area. About a week later, after eating the meals that were left out for me, I entered my new residence. Why did I wait so long? If I had only known what I was missing! I’ve quickly adjusted and made myself at home. I’m an approximately 4-year-old Lab mix who’s an intelligent, loving and social girl. Thankfully I was “dropped off” at a wonderful place that made it possible for me to be “picked up” by you and taken to my forever home!

Hi… my name is Superior,

Adopted 8-10-23

Not too long ago, my siblings and I were all alone in a wash… hungry, thirsty puppies, not knowing what to do. Then, suddenly, almost everything changed!  A kind stranger rescued us and brought us here, where we’ve been safe and comfy, playing and growing every day since. Of course, we’re still puppies, adorable and fun, with lots to learn. TALGV volunteers have started teaching us how to walk on a leash, and other things good dogs know. I’m a Heeler/Lab mix female, black with white markings (including speckles on my paws), who weighed nine pounds at two months. I hope to grow into a loyal, good dog who makes my person happy. If you could guide me on that path, and love me along the way, I’d forever be glad to be yours.

Then, suddenly, almost everything changed!  A kind stranger rescued us and brought us here, where we’ve been safe and comfy, playing and growing every day since. Of course, we’re still puppies, adorable and loads of fun, with lots to learn. TALGV volunteers already have started teaching us how to walk on a leash and other things good dogs need to know. I’m a Heeler/Lab mix female, black with white markings, who weighed 8.8 pounds at two months.
