Hi… my name is Pete (aka Jive),

Adopted 9-29-23

I like my new name because it rhymes with some cool words, such as: “Sweet” to describe my personality.  “Feat” because I already graduated from Puppy Training, and I know that good manners aren’t “Obsolete.”  Of course, a favorite word is “Treat” because I will demonstrate all the commands I know for them, including “Sit,” “Stay,” and “Come.”  I think other dogs are “Neat” and have made several canine friends while at TALGV. If you have a friendly, playful dog, I’d love to “Meet” her! I’ve been enjoying my walking “Retreats” with my volunteer friends. It’s safe to say, if your family is “Incomplete,” adopting me would be “Replete” with rewards, so at the risk of a “Repeat,” let’s do a “Meet” and “Greet” and we’ll be a family that can’t be “Beat!”

Hi… my name is Kunzite,

Adopted 10-2-23

I was a lucky puppy adopted by a lovely family who cherished me. They called me a very tolerant and gentle dog, good with the kids (ages 3 and 10) and very smart. So why am I back here? Because although I got along with the family cat, the older dog there really didn’t like me. But other dogs do!  Since my return, I’ve already lived peacefully with two dogs here. I’m sure I still have things to learn, but in my previous home I was already crate-trained, asked to go outside, and knew some commands. TALGV volunteers say I’m probably still growing, but already have a heart as big as all outdoors. And I say the biggest hope in my heart is for a happy home forever. Could that be with you?

Hi… my name is Daffy,

Adopted with Minnie 8-25-23

I was left in a crate, along with my two sisters and mom, outside TALGV. I’m a 4-month-old Rottweiler/Shepherd mix. Mom says we look more like dad, but you can see a little of her. One of my sisters has already been adopted and I’m hoping someone will take me home soon. I’m at the age where I’m ready to be taught proper manners, like potty training, leash walking, and other important things that will help me become a well-behaved adult. Of course, there’s also learning how to “sit,” and the rest of the basic commands. A patient, loving person can help me learn everything I need to know. You can reward me with treats when I’m good, and before long you’ll be rewarded with a faithful, loving companion for life.

Hi… my name is Cindy,

Adopted 9-23-23

I wouldn’t say my three pups and I could be considered special delivery, but we did arrive in a crate left outside TALGV, and we are special. At least that’s how we’ve been treated. One of my youngsters has already left for her forever home and it won’t be long before the other two get adopted. Then, of course, there’s me. I can’t wait to find my own forever home. I’m a 2-year-old Rottweiler and since I’ve had my last litter, I’m ready to enjoy the next stage of my life. I enjoy walks with the volunteers and not to brag, I’m pretty good! You might say I’m a mystery since nothing is known about my personal life. If you’re someone who enjoys mysteries, just think of the fun we can share solving mine!
