Janis is a social and energetic 1-year-old, 36-pound, Australian Kelpie mix female who needs a new home.She has some obedience training (no, down, hey, outside), will come when called, and learns quickly. She is housebroken and asks to go out. She is in good health, spayed, and medical records are available. Janis gets along with other dogs; cats and children are unknown. She loves to play fetch and will retrieve the ball as long as you can throw it. A high wall is needed and crate training would be beneficial. There is no adoption fee for this special girl. My owner gave me to a friend, but the friend didn’t keep me. After several days of making the rounds on the GV Country Club fairways, I was brought to TALGV. I’m a male Akita/Husky mix, about 9 months old, who’s looking for a home. I haven’t had very much training in the past, but I’m getting it now! I’m enrolled in “Basic Commands 101” (sit, down, stay, etc.), and I’m also taking a course in “Leash Training 102.” I understand that “Socializing 103” is a lesson EVERYONE needs. I recently made a friend in our play yard, and maybe one of these days I’ll be lucky and get a roommate. I know there’s someone out there just for me. Someone firm, patient, and above all…loving. Aspen

I was a mere puppy when my “parents” adopted me from TALGV. I’m back because of a family illness and it’s become harder for them to give me the care every pooch deserves. You’ll soon learn that when I look up at you, I want to go out. When you come to visit me, you’ll probably notice I’m somewhat on the “chubby” side. We’re working on that! Yes, that means less food (diet) and more exercise (walking). On the subject of walking, a harness is recommended as part of my “wardrobe” because I tend to pull on my leash. I’m glad the monsoons are nearly over, because I DON’T like thunderstorms. I DO miss snuggling on the couch with “mom.” I’d really appreciate a good snuggle! Will you share your couch with me?
