MAXX is an energetic and affectionate 24-pound 6-year-old male Bichon mix that needs a new home. He is housebroken and crate trained. He is okay with other dogs but cats and children are unknown. Maxx has been neutered and is up to date with his shots (medical records available). He loves to play, will sit on command, and takes his cue from his brother Trooper. I wasn’t invited, but for some reason I thought it would be okay for me to join another dog (and owner) on their walk. I followed them all the way to their home. Unfortunately I couldn’t stay with them, so I was brought to TALGV. I’m a handsome young Hound mix, about 3 years old. A volunteer recently stated emphatically that I’m a “really good dog.” She said I walk well on a leash and only tug occasionally in order to investigate a new aroma. I’m curious about other dogs but don’t react to them. I’m hoping that once you catch a glimpse of me and meet me in person, you won’t be able to ignore the fact that we were meant for each other. Then the only person I’ll ever follow home is YOU!

Small Fry

Tater Tot and I were picked up on the frontage road between Continental and Calle Tres. Tater Tot already left for his new home; now it’s my turn. I’m about ten pounds and two months old and very fortunate to be rescued before the unthinkable happened. Since I’m only a puppy, I really don’t remember where we came from or how we got there. That could be a good thing! If you’ve seen my photo you probably noticed how BIG my ears are. That’s nothing to be concerned about, because I’m certain I’ll grow into them before you know it. You probably also noticed how intelligent I look. The earlier I get trained, the better. I’m up for the challenge, how about you?

I’m an approximately 8-year-old Chihuahua mix female, the kind of gal that will be a wonderful addition to any loving home. I’m a welcomed guest in my foster home and happily share attention with the six other dogs who reside here. Being playful and exuberant may be fine, but I myself am happy just being mellow and snuggling close to someone on a couch. I’m trained to use a doggy door and the only time I bark is to welcome my “person” when they return home or join in the chorus with my fellow canines. My foster mom says I’m “a little love.” If you would like to add a “little love” to your home, and someone to snuggle with, I’m ready, willing, and available.

My family decided, since they couldn’t give me the care they want me to have, that it’s in my best interest for TALGV to help me find a new home. I’m a mature lady who comes with Vet Care Support for Life. I may be deaf, but that doesn’t stop me from being a happy, good-natured girl who absolutely adores people. Since arriving here, I’ve been on a diet to help me lose weight and gone on daily walks for much needed exercise. It seems that even though I may like Oreos, they are definitely NOT a healthy breakfast food for dogs! Not bragging, but I’ve already lost 20 pounds and I don’t even miss the Oreos. What I do miss is a loving home. You say you have the home? I’ve got the love!
