My brother Andy and I have a lot in common. (I call him “brother” because we’re from the same home; we may not have been from the same litter, but we’re definitely family.) Andy and I are both small dogs (I’m a 13-pound white Poodle female), we’re both 13 years old, and we both come with FREE vet care for life! Best of all, the most wonderful thing we share is l-o-v-e. We love each other and we loved our human mom. But Mom had to move to a nursing home. (By the way, wouldn’t it be great if every nursing home had a dog wing?) So now, Andy and I are being well looked after in foster care. If you’d like to know more about us, please give TALGV a call.

I gave birth to my to my babies alone, outside and afraid. Then help arrived! My little family was found–four puppies at first and then two more–and we were all brought to TALGV, where our lives went from desperate and in danger to peaceful and protected. Honestly, I was a bit of a mess–fur matted, dirty, with fleas. Imagine how great I feel now to be clean, well fed, and living in a cozy place where my pups are thriving. I was protective of those babies at first, then learned to trust the kindness of humans and became the friendly dog you’ll meet today. I’m a cream-colored Poodle, about 18 months and 18 pounds, discovering how fun life can be. If you have love to share, I’d be ever so happy to be yours.

I know what it is to be left behind, but that doesn’t have to be the worst thing ever. My person couldn’t have his dogs at his new place, so now I’m here, very well taken care of until my special someone finds me. My former person said I like children and I’m good with people, and at just 10 pounds, I’m easy to hold and cuddle. At my previous home, I was an outdoor dog, so you can imagine how much I’ll love the comforts of an indoor life. Add your love to that and I’ll be in little doggie heaven! When I was hanging out across from Anza Trail School, I wasn’t planning to enroll, but I was glad to see people. I was lost. Fortunately, a nice lady spotted me alone there and took me home overnight. When she brought me here, she reported that I’d gotten along with the other animals in her home (2 dogs and 2 cats), and was gentle and tolerant with children. Guess you could say I was a very nice guest, and now I’m hoping to be a lot more than that to someone special.
