RUBY is a friendly and well-behaved 3-year-old, 25-pound Cocker/Retriever mix female who needs a new home. She knows “sit” and “come” and is crate trained. She is in good health, spayed, and up to date on shots. She asks to go out, loves playing fetch, and will play for hours with her toys. Ruby is not good with other dogs; cats and children are unknown. She likes to snuggle and will love having attention and learning how to be your best friend. There is no adoption fee. I am in search of a big lap! You see, I’m a big mush and love bug. My favorite place is with my person, right next to them, preferably touching, giving kisses, and getting petted. I also love being brushed and since my fur is long, I need to be. What I don’t like are loud noises and some overly exuberant small children I don’t know. Some dogs also make me nervous, especially when I’m on a leash. So I’d do best as the only dog in a home without small children. They say I’m a fast learner so maybe you could help me with that. I can use a doggie door or tell you when I need to go out. I am also crate trained and have done well when left by myself. If your lap could hold a big love bug, please come to meet me soon.

On my trip here, the lady who drove me said I definitely needed my seatbelt. I’m a lively young guy who can be very energetic–just a big pup who needs some basic obedience training. I already know how to sit and lay down. I enjoy playing fetch and I will bring the toy back and drop it gently. I’m treat-motivated, and I’m a gracious gentleman when accepting them. I like to play and get a little mouthy but still gentle. I really love belly rubs and I will reward you with kisses. I have been told that I’m quite a handsome lad.
