Hi… my name is Ducky,

Adopted 5-16-23

Imagine five growing puppies, already 4 months old, crammed into a small crate and left at the side of the road. That’s the story of my siblings and me—five well-fed, happy puppies, all in good shape, and so glad to be found! Our breed? Best guess is Lab/Shepherd/Rottie mix, so, yes, we’ll probably become big dogs. You can add friendly, active, and fun-loving dogs, too, because that’s who we are today. We enjoy going to the TALGV play yard, where we meet other dogs, and we’re learning important puppy lessons, including how to walk on a leash. I’m a male, mainly black with white markings, and I’m so ready to go home. If you have room in your heart and life for a growing pup, could my happy forever home be with you?

Hi… my name is Roxanne,

COMES WITH VET CARE SUPPORT FOR LIFE

Shortly after I was rescued and taken to TALGV, I moved into a foster home. I know basic commands, and let you know when I need to go out to potty; routine helps. I even found my own personal spot in the backyard for that purpose! I sleep all night on my own bed, enjoy sitting on the couch, don’t play with toys, and love going for car rides and walks. I walk well on a leash but react, by pulling very hard, when meeting “small” dogs. I need a strong walker and probably a home without any “small” pets. It’s important to note that I come with Vet Care Support for Life. I’m a sweet, well-behaved girl who’s  patiently waiting for you to take me home. Did I say patiently? Please hurry!

Hi… my name is Kacie,

Adopted 12-27-22

After following a gentleman most of the way home, I jumped into his car, and we  searched for anyone who might know me. After three days he decided TALGV may have better luck. I’m a female Rottweiler mix, approximately 2 years old, and I’m looking forward to meeting you! Since I was found, there is little known about me, but volunteers say I’m very affectionate, can use a doggy door, sit when told, and probably know even more. It seems I do understand the word “walk,” and even though I’m excited to go, I settle down quickly. In other words…I walk very well! I’m on my second roommate because my first, I’m happy to say, was adopted. Now I’m just waiting for YOU to offer ME a forever home with YOU. My answer? YES!!!

Hi… my name is Chaco,

Adopted 10-1-22

I thought you might like to know that after my “dad” passed away and I had no one else, TALGV is a GOOD place to be. I get the attention and understanding I need, with a large dose of love thrown in. I am currently being successfully treated for a medical issue. I’m an affable boy, a Rottie mix who is  approximately 4 years old. I’m at that age where I can appreciate the finer things in life like early morning walks (which I do very well), good food, occasional treats and naps, but mostly someone to love and share my life. Perhaps I’d even make an excellent roommate for you! Are you curious now? Please come on over and meet me so we can see what we have in common, and then we could go home together.

Hi… my name is Martin,

Adopted 6-4-22

I am a handsome fellow who wears three white shoes and one white sock. Compact, not too big, not too small, I look a bit like a Rottweiler and a bit like a Chihuahua. (What? You can’t see the Chihuahua?) I may come across as standoffish at first. That’s because not all the people I’ve met were nice. But since I am sure you are, just give me a bit of time and you’ll see my true colors. No—not brown, black and white! But sweet, fun-loving, and loyal. I am learning commands, too. I know “sit,” and “wait,” and I’m starting to understand how to politely walk on leash without pulling. I like learning stuff. Makes my brain work, you know? When we go home together, will you teach me more?

Hi… my name is Bear (aka Guy),

Adopted 8-24-21

COMES WITH VET CARE SUPPORT FOR LIFE

How would you like a handsome Rottweiler/ Shepherd mix boy to come home with you? Since I’m “big” and 8-years-old, I will come to you with Vet Care Support for Life. I lived with two canine family members and we all got along well….except for my food aggression (which can be easily managed). I’m a real people dog, and I’ve been gentle with children, (no cats, please!). I’m house and crate trained (a little separation anxiety). I love car rides, and because I know two key commands: “wait” and “let’s go,” I’m an exceptionally good leash walker, matching my handler’s gait and “stopping” and “sitting” on command. Not to brag but did I mention I previously earned my AKC Canine Good Citizen prep training award? Hopefully I’ve piqued your curiosity enough to meet me and perhaps shake paws on my adoption!
