Hi… my name is Paul,

Adopted 5-29-22

Four of us were found together, all boys, and brought to TALGV in April. Someone had the clever idea that we could be the Fab Four. Now, Iam much too young to understand what that means, but perhaps you do. In any case, I think I got the coolest name! That’s Sir Paulto you, thank you! Mom and Dad were pretty big dogs, Rottweiler or Shepherd, I think, so I’ll probably grow into a big dog too. (If not, my paws are way too big!) We’ve been told we must find ourselves “forever home”, a place where we can play and run and have someone teach us good doggie manners. Two of our siblings have already done that. Now it’s my turn! Do you have a forever home for me?

Now, Iam much too young to understand what that means, but perhaps you do. In any case, I think I got the coolest name! I am the most handsome, too, don’t you think? Mom and Dad were pretty big dogs, Rottweiler or Shepherd, I think,  so I’ll probably grow into a big dog too. (If not, my paws are way too big!) We’ve been told we must find ourselves a “forever home”, a place where we can play and run and have someone teach us good doggie manners. Do you have such a place? Then you should come to meet us and take mehome!

Hi… my name is Tyler,

Adopted 11-21-22

When my buddy Tyke and I first arrived at TALGV, polite manners and education were the last things on our minds. What a difference time, patience, and training makes! Tyke found his forever home, and I have a feeling my turn is just around the corner. At the beginning I dreaded a leash, but now it’s my favorite accessory. It means I’m either going for a walk, an outing to the park, shopping, or attending an “event” with my buddies. I’ve been told that I’m very well behaved! Since I’m a sociable boy, among my favorite activities (besides snuggling), are “playdates” with my fellow canine residents. We meet in the play yard, with a couple of “human” friends, unleashed (just us dogs), and ready for fun. I’m “just around the corner” and I’m ready to go home!

NOTE: Tyler has been social, tolerant, and playful when meeting other dogs in TALGV’s playgroup. He would like to meet any resident dogs before adoption to your home.

Hi… my name is Tyke,

Adopted 8-7-22

Tyler and I were picked up on the Tohono O’Odham reservation by the tribal police. Since there was no reason to arrest us, we were brought to TALGV. We were checked out and found to be undernourished, but healthy. Then we started our new routine, with two daily walks. I’m not crazy about the collar and leash (I’m improving), or being confined to my kennel (probably never an “inside dog”), but I heard someone mention I’m making an effort to adapt to my surroundings. Tyler and I may have come in together, but now we need our separate spaces, and I need to focus more on social interaction with “humans.” I’d love a home (fenced space), with an experienced “dog person” who has the time and patience to help me become the dog I know I can be…YOUR dog!

Hi… my name is Scooby,

Adopted 4-9-22

I am an eight-month-old shepherd mix puppy. I recently stayed with a nice couple who said that I got along well with their two small dogs and also with the little children that visited. I was gentle with them and didn’t mind when they played with me. On the contrary! So far, I have spent most of my time outdoors. As a result, I need someone who can teach me how to be a well-behaved dog inside a home. They say I am eager to learn and pick things up pretty quickly. Can you continue to teach me? I like the volunteers here, but a forever home of my own would be so much better! If you are looking for a big, sweet, affectionate companion, can we meet? Soon?

Hi… my name is Sandy,

Adopted 6-26-22

I was originally found, brought here, adopted, and after only five months, returned. I guess my adopters had high expectations of me that I couldn’t fulfill. I know the commands “sit,” and “down,” ask to go out, and have used a crate, when left alone and at night. I’m considered a “shy dog” who’s skittish with some people, and I need to be approached as such. The secret to gaining my trust and love is time and patience. One of my walkers mentioned that I’m a well-mannered girl, a “delight,” who walks well on a leash, and who affectionately licked her fingers when we stopped. I don’t like cats, but I’ve been enjoying supervised playtime with a couple of my canine friends. My expectations? A forever home filled with love and patience…offer me these…I’m yours.
