Hi… my name is Lucas,

Adopted 4-24-25

I’m a young Belgian Malinois mix.  Mixed with what, you ask?  AWESOMENESS, of course! I was surrendered when my human moved to an apartment (pfft… not enough room there for all the genius working breed I am anyway). I’m currently rooming with another pup, practicing my leash swagger, and mastering commands like a champ. I’d love a home where I can run, learn cool tricks, and maybe even have a job—like Chief Stick Chaser or Neighborhood Roadrunner Watch. I’m handsome, smart, and 100% ready to be your ride-or-die adventure buddy. Bonus points if you know my breed—I’d thrive with an experienced home, but if you’re ready to commit to my needs and want a best friend who’s always up for an adventure, I might just be the awesome companion you’ve been searching for.

Hi… my name is Denali,

Adopted with Fuji 5-3-25

The word Denali means “the great one,” which is why they chose it for me. I am a beautiful puppy with gorgeous white socks and a regal bearing that will help me grow into my name one day. For now, I love playing with other dogs and learning about the world around me. My sisters and I were abandoned so we didn’t get to enjoy the comforts of life with humans until recently, and I have discovered I love snacks and a soft bed. I will be a big dog, but I’m pretty laid back when I’m not playing. I’d love to find a home with another dog or a patient owner who can teach me all the perks of living with people. If you’re ready for a great adventure with a smart, loyal best buddy, I’m the one for you.

Hi… my name is Fuji,

Adopted with Denali 5-3-25

Are you a discriminating person looking for just the right buddy to spend your life with? Then we have a lot in common. I am a gorgeous girl with a sleek, black coat and mesmerizing blue eyes who will grow to be a big dog. I’m still a puppy, but I like to play it cool and observe before joining in with whatever fun is happening. I’m told I am very smart and pick up commands quickly. I am also quite loving once I get to know you. I didn’t get a lot of experience with people early on in my life as my siblings and I were on our own, so I would love a home with another dog to teach me the ropes or a patient human who understands that sometimes the best love is found when we wait patiently for the “right one” to come along.

Hi… my name is Helena,

Adopted 5-23-25

I was named in honor of Mount Saint Helens because I’m going to be a big girl, but unlike the mountain, I’m not one to blow my top. I’m a quiet girl, probably because my sisters and I were abandoned when we were young and left on our own; we are slowly discovering that there’s a big world out there full of humans who want to love us. However, I would do best with a patient person or another dog in the house to help me learn all about these exciting opportunities. I’m a smart, gentle girl who walks well on a leash and can already sit (along with some other commands). I’m also wonderful with other dogs I’ve met and enjoy playing with them. Please come by and meet me…I’d love to give you the opportunity to spoil me!

Hi… my name is Butter,

Adopted 3-23-25

I’m a young shepherd-mix boy with a BIG, fearless, and friendly personality! I was found abandoned and brought to TALGV by a kind person and instantly won over everyone with my eagerness to learn new things: Doggie door? Check. Fetch?  Master level. Walking on a leash? I was born to do this! I’ve spent time in a foster home with another dog where I learned how to prepare for when my forever family shows up to adopt me. Are YOU someone who understands there’s no such thing as “too much puppy?” We grow up. Sometimes we even turn into big dogs. We need training. We need to work our brains and bodies to be the best we can be. If you can commit to the above, I’ll melt your heart like…well…Butter!

Hi… my name is Vanilla Wafer (aka Nilla),

AS A RESIDENT AT TALGV FOR MORE THAN 2 YEARS, NILLA COMES WITH VET CARE SUPPORT FOR LIFE.

I’m learning the world isn’t so scary. Walks are my favorite—especially those with a bunny scent! I’m getting braver every day: strangers don’t scare me like they used to, especially if they have a calm, friendly dog. I’ll need a few meetups at my favorite park to get comfortable, so please let me go at my own pace. I’m house-trained, use a doggie door, and know a few commands. Once I trust you, my silly side shines—perhaps relocating shoes or the remote. I love toys, car rides, and splashing in a kiddie pool. My foster buddy helps boost my confidence, and I’m discovering how fun being a dog can be. No little kids for me, but a patient heart? Yes, please! The best things in life—like me with Vet Care Support for Life—are worth working for.

If you are considering adoption, please call TALGV office (520-625-3170) and make a date to meet me soon. Kennel appointments are between 10 and 2 every day.

Hi… my name is Oreo,

Adopted 3-7-25

COMES WITH VETC CARE SUPPORT FOR LIFE

Did you know “America’s Favorite Cookie” now has Vet Care Support for Life? Yes! Even perfection can be improved upon. Have I come a LONG way! I’m now in a foster home with two other dogs who have guided me on how to make the most of this experience. Being the Smart Cookie that I am, I’ve quickly learned the household routines: play time, feeding times, outdoor/potty times, walk time, bed times. I would definitely benefit from having a friendly canine companion in the home.  A kiddie pool would be a big plus in the summer.  While I’m shy when meeting someone new, you’ll earn my trust if I’m given enough time, patience and treats. I may be America’s Favorite Cookie, but do you think I can be YOURS?

Hi… my name is Rico,

Adopted 4-19-25

Imagine two little dogs tied to a stop sign under a piece of cardboard with the words “Free puppies.”  Heartbreaking, right? Well, I was one of those sad pups, but that was many months ago. Today, I’m glad to tell you, I’m enjoying life as a happy and playful young dog with lots of friends. On my first adoption I was too strong for my former person, but she liked me a lot. She said I was kind, loving, and well behaved with people and dogs. (Not so much with cats.) Being here gives me the chance to learn more good-dog lessons and I’m having fun with other TALGV dogs and the volunteers, but I do dream of home. If I can belong to you, I’ll be your loving, loyal, and grateful dog forever.

Hi… my name is Kibo,

Adopted 1-25-25

When my dad was being deployed and we said our sad goodbyes, he assured me I was ready for a wonderful new home because, he told me, “You’re an amazing dog!” Maybe he said that because I’m a girl who can easily make friends with people and other dogs. Although sometimes shy, I’m soon friendly, and I love to run and play with other dogs.  In quieter times, human friends praise me for being naturally sweet and affectionate. I’m a tan and white shepherd mix, 42 pounds at one year old, who’s been housetrained, understands words like “sit” and “lay down,” and does pretty well on leash.  (We shouldn’t bark at trucks, right?) So, yes, I’m ready to be someone’s loving, loyal and playful dog in a wonderful forever home. Could you be my someone?

Hi… my name is Holly,

Adopted 1-26-25

If only everyone realized that dogs don’t have a ‘self-training mode,’ there would be fewer of us looking for homes! I’m a petite 38-pound Shepherd mix with a heart full of love and an infectious enthusiasm for life. I’m working hard with my volunteers to fine-tune my leash manners, especially when I spot other dogs, and I’m making great progress! I’m smart, eager to learn, and have tons of energy to share. What I need now is a committed family looking for a happy, energetic girl who understands that a few minutes of reinforced training each day will help me become my best self. I’ll reward you with affection, cuddles, and a belly to rub. Ready to go on adventures? I am and I can’t wait to meet you!
