CRISTINA is a mellow and sweet 13-year-old, 50-pound, Spaniel mix girl who needs a new home. Her owner has died and her long-time veterinarian has taken responsibility for her. She is house broken and asks to go out. She is leash trained but missing hind leg limits her activity. She takes medication (will be sponsored if needed), is spayed, and medical records are available. She gets along with cats but not other dogs; children are unknown. Cristina likes sunbathing and relaxing with her person. Her caretaker will sponsor professional training to help her become your loyal companion. There is no adoption fee. If you will welcome Cristina into a loving home as part of your family, please call Andrea any time (evening preferred) at 520-403-3685 or 520-649-9866.

Hi… my name is Bilbo (aka Buck),

Adopted 10-29-19

Note: Bio needs revision.

When I was found on Sahuarita Road across from Fry’s, it was evident I’d been on my own for a while. My coat was matted, severely so on my tail—being brushed by the volunteers here has been heavenly! Also, I needed some medical care and lots of just plain attention—that kindness that lets you know you’re not alone anymore. Very shy and quiet at first, being with people is restoring my confidence. Oh, I’m still an easy-going guy—a “gentle soul” my friends call me—and I was very well behaved at a recent community event. And now I’m starting to dream of a home, and, best of all, someone to share it with. A medium-sized, Spaniel/Corgi mix male, I’ll do my best to fit comfortably into your life and your heart.

Hi… my name is Jeannie,

Adopted 12-5-18

Before coming here, I was one of fifteen dogs all living together in the same place! Different breeds, genders, ages—mainly small to medium small—and we all got along. Still do! We’re a sweet, loving bunch. But when our people moved and couldn’t take everyone with them, most of us came here—some of us shy, others very friendly, and each one hoping for the same thing: A new, comfy, loving home. We’re already experiencing new things; leashes and doggie doors were unknown to us, and we’ve not been around small children. I’m a 6-year-old Terrier mix female, black with touches of brown and white, 18 pounds, and although I like friendly people, I can be shy sometimes. Is that okay with you? I hope so, because I really need someone to love.

I’m a 6-year-old blonde Spaniel mix female, friendly and sweet, weighing in at 15 pounds. I’ve been called adorable, but all I really want to be called is yours.

Hi… my name is Paula,

Comes with FREE Vet Care for Life

When I first arrived here, I barely moved. I’d been found on the street, my coat was unkempt, and I appear to have some hearing and perhaps vision loss. I was so scared. But if you’re feeling sorry for me, we need to change keys—mine isn’t a sad song anymore because I was rescued! And now, after a little adjustment time, I’m perking up. I’m happy when my walker arrives, enjoy those outdoor strolls, and inside, I sometimes make my own fun—like making “toys” out of my blankets before taking a nap on them. (That’s called entertaining yourself, right?) I’m a 20-pound, blonde and white Spaniel mix female—a 10-year-old who comes with Free Vet Care for Life! My golden years may be my sweetest ever—may I please spend them with you?

Hi… my name is Bacon,

Adopted 3-20-18

Foster mom sings my praises! She says I am quiet, rarely bark, ride well in the car, play well with my toys, and like to sleep on the bed but will stay off the furniture unless invited. A sweet snuggler in quiet times, I’m a good walker, too—can easily hike a couple of miles. Plus, I’m housebroken! So why do I need a new home? My person went to college and left me with her mom, where I didn’t get along with her two dogs—I would not share toys or food. Since I’ve been afraid of men, too, my ideal home will be as the only dog for a woman who’d love an adorable little 17-pound, 2-1/2-year-old companion—a Spaniel mix male, who’ll happily follow you everywhere and love you back forever!
