Hi… my name is Ali Mae,

Adopted 10-25-20

If a wagging tail proves anything, then I’m a people-loving gal, since my tail seldom stops. Friends and strangers alike are all recipients of my affection. I know how to sit, use a doggie door, and walk well on a leash, and I’m unfazed by other dogs passing by. I absolutely adore car rides but found out quickly that I’m not allowed to get in the driver’s seat to help steer. So instead of putting pedal to the metal, I put nose to the air. I’m an adorable bundle of energy who’s hoping to find the right family to take me home. Even though I like to be the center of attention, I would happily share it with that special person (or persons). Could that possibly be you? Please call TALGV.

Hi… my name is Hannah,

Adopted 11-22-20

I’m a 1-year-old female Staffie mix. When you first meet me, you will immediately notice my majestic ears; secondly you will probably notice my “unique” feet. Don’t be concerned; I’m not handicapped. They are part of the original equipment that I was born with. I enjoy walks and leash training is presently one of my lessons. I do walk better on a flat surface such as sidewalks, etc. I’m a very affectionate girl that loves to play. I’m really good at the game “find it” and when playing with a ball, I will be more than happy to trade it for a treat. At first I wasn’t sure about cars but once I got in, I was thrilled to see the places we could visit. Please schedule an appointment because I would really like to meet you and you could see what a special little girl I am.

Hi… my name is Indy,

Adopted 9-20-20

I was brought to TALGV after I was found under a trailer. When I arrived, everyone knew they were in the company of an exuberant boy who is still a pup at heart. After working with my trainer, I’m settling down and gradually learning some new lessons. I’m quite proud that I know the meaning of sit and wait. I can use the doggie door and I’m possibly housetrained. I’m pretty good on walks but need more work on leash training. I’m sweet and very affectionate and I love to play. I also enjoy going for rides, once I’m in the car. If you’re in the market for a bundle of energetic love, please make an appointment to meet me. I could be just what you’re looking for.

Hi… my name is Lexi,

Adopted 7-25-20

Did I hear someone mention BALL? I love chasing a ball and playing catch all day and that’s the reason I’m at TALGV. My people are moving into a small apartment without a much-needed yard. I lived with another dog and a cat and even though we got along, I may need some socializing when I’m introduced to new dogs. I’ve had some training and I can sit and stay. I understand the meaning of outside and treat. I’m crate trained and I can use a doggie door. My leash training is a work in progress and I’m being taught how to accept treats gently, like a lady. Please consider calling TALGV to make an appointment for us to meet and maybe, if you want, we can even toss a few balls.

Hi… my name is Sonny,

Adopted 7-15-20

My former owner brought me to TALGV because the other female dog and I had an altercation. When I first arrived, I couldn’t figure out why I was here and I was very nervous. The kind volunteers tried to put me at ease. Now that I’ve met all these caring people, I feel so much better. I know some commands such as sit, wait, off, and (occasionally) down. I know I need some more basic behavior training, and I’m smart enough to learn. I absolutely love playing in water. I also like playing with toys, but they need to be tough toys. I have never been around children or other pets but people here are learning more about me. If you would like to meet me in person please call and make an appointment.

Hi… my name is Pasta,

Adopted 6-18-20

My litter of nine babies and I were found abandoned on the street in Nogales, Mexico, and then brought to TALGV to find homes. My puppies are not yet ready for adoption, so they are in foster care for now. I am in good health but due to the strain of nourishing my family, I am quite emaciated and am grateful for the good meals provided by my new friends. (I may be skinny, but my heart is full of love.) My foster mom reports: “She’s pretty much house-trained and appreciates air conditioning. She wants to know where her person is and loves to ride in the car. She walks nicely on leash but may freeze if she sees a big dog, even from a distance. Pasta is happy to meet smaller dogs and especially likes women.” If you have room in your heart and home for a sweet and obedient girl, please call TALGV office at 520-625-3170 and make a date to meet me soon.

Ellie is a sweet and affectionate 6-year-old, 55-pound Staffie mix female who needs a new home. She is crate trained, leash trained, and has some obedience training (knows “come” and “place”). She is housebroken and asks to go out. She is in good health, spayed, up to date on shots and medical records are available. Ellie does not get along with other dogs or cats and would be best with older children. She loves to relax and to snuggle but doesn’t care much for walking. She needs a low key, only-dog household. There is no adoption fee for this special girl.

If you will welcome Ellie into a loving home as part of your family, please call Andrea between 10 AM and 7 PM at 520-307-9481.

Hi… my name is Prince,

Adopted 5-25-20

I was found in the desert and had lots of cactus thorns to be pulled out when I arrived at TALGV. Once that was done, I went to live at a foster home. Foster mom wrote this story for me: ‘I’m house-trained and love to ride in the car. I prefer to be wherever you are but understand if sometimes I just have to wait patiently for you to come back to me. I’m a great walker! I like to rise early and if you won’t let me cuddle on your bed, I’ll nibble on your feet or hands until you get up and give me big hugs. (I must admit that I need to be an only dog, but my tough guy looks are deceiving.) Humans are my favorite!” Won’t you come sit next to me so I can snuggle up next to you and put my head in your lap?

Hi… my name is Bella,

Adopted 4-21-20

I was found with burned paws and cactus needles in my coat. My kind finders brought me to TALGV, and, boy, this is a great place for lots of attention and yummy food! Now I’m spending time with Foster Mom, who says I am wonderful, sweet, and obedient. I know my Staffie look might sometimes be scary, but I am so gentle, especially when taking treats from you. I’ll alert you when I need to go out, and I can be trusted when left alone inside. My favorite activities include watching TV on the couch with you, lying in the sun, and watching people and their dogs walk by (without barking). Wouldn’t you love to have a beautiful, mellow girl like me? Please come visit me and see how much love I have to give.
