Hi… my name is Lola,

Adopted 11-9-17

Here’s my secret: To know me is to love me. Oh, I’m a quietly independent female, but I’m also a genuine sweetie pie. People are often surprised by how quickly we become friends, which happens because I like people and it shows. Give me a little affection and I’ll gently give it right back. And when you’re ready for a walk, I’m happy just to be by your side. (I’m good on a leash, crate-trained and know some commands.) When I was found on a frontage road with my son Lucky Boy, our finder said we were both very friendly—concerned for each other, but also welcomed her attention. And now I want to welcome yours. I’m a 6-1/2-year-old Staffie/Bulldog mix female, 51 pounds; calm, affectionate, and ready to love you most of all.

Hi… my name is Keta,

Adopted with Chancellor 8-29-17

Comes with Free Vet Care of Life

My buddy Chancellor and I were great pals to our family, but one thing we couldn’t fix: The kids were allergic to us. So now we’re available to join another family—a household of one or more. I’ll probably make the change just fine because I’m one of the calmest dogs around—nothing much rattles me. And I love big people and kids, too (our human mom said I was great with her babies). All my people friends appreciate my good manners—housebroken, leash-trained, great in the car, know several commands—plus I can be independent and enjoy my alone time. An adorable brindle Shepherd/Staffie mix female, 57 pounds, I’m 10 years old and have FREE Vet Care for Life, so there’s lots to love about me. If you agree, we should be together!

Hi… my name is Darcy,

Adopted 8-6-17

I’ve experienced some big changes in my young life. My owner died, his family couldn’t keep me, a kind friend fostered me for a few weeks, and now I’m here. But I’m still a typical puppy—fun-loving, cute, and energetic. Plus I have special qualities that make me who I am: I’m smart (catch on to most training quickly), love to play in water (like a wading pool) and cuddle with people (sometimes I think I’m littler than I am). When fostered, I got along with three small dogs and loved to play; my foster people called me “a very kind and patient dog.” An 8-month-old Staffie female, 36 pounds, a beauty in black and white, I love almost everyone I meet. Make me yours and I’ll love you most of all and always!

Hi… my name is Biggs,

Adopted 4-14-18

The volunteers gave me a close going over when I arrived here, noticing an injured toenail, missing skin from a paw pad (I walked some hot paths when I was lost), and they called me skinny—which meant more kibble in my dish. Even better, they called me gentle and sweet. I want everyone to know that being a loving, loyal companion is my highest aspiration, so I keep on being friendly, trying to please my person on the leash, learning their words, and generally being the kind of good dog who gets a good home. I’m a 2-year-old, 51-pound, tan and white Staffie mix male, and you might kindly say I’m cute. I know what it is to be lost and hungry. Will you teach me what it is to have a home?

Hi… my name is Moose,

Adopted 2-17-19

Can a big guy like me be called a sweetie? YES! … if the name fits—and for me, it does! I’m a 2-year-old, 83-pound Staffie mix male; my coat is blue gray and white, and my heart is gold. You’ll know that when we meet, but in the meantime I’ll share my story. I was found running around a local neighborhood. My rescuer stopped, saw that I was hot and thirsty (drooling), so she opened the door to her truck and I jumped in. (Guess you could call me a trusting soul, too.) Here at TALGV, they love me for being an easygoing guy who walks well on a leash and welcomes friends. (Confidentially, they also say they love my cute face.) So if you’re looking for a loving, loyal companion, I’m your guy.

Hi… my name is Blondie,

Adopted 5-5-18

Blondie has earned her AKC Canine Good Citizen certificate.

I’ll tell you how I was found if you promise to remember that I’m a happy, thriving puppy and everything’s fine with me now. Here goes: A man was driving down Pima Mine Road when he saw me being thrown out of the car ahead of him. That was awful, but it’s over. Today, I’m a puppy with a bright future because I’m here, ready to meet you and fall in love. Oh, I admit I need someone to guide me—a patient person who’ll teach me good manners, good leash walking, and all those important good-dog things. I have webbed feet so we think I’m part Lab, and part Staffie; a cute, friendly, fun-loving, tan female. Won’t you please show me how wonderful a loving, forever home can be?

Hi… my name is Stormy,

Adopted 7-22-17

If I could, I’d tell you a fascinating story about how I came to be lost, but I don’t know how it happened and it’s probably not a happy story anyway. Instead, I’ll say thank you to the man who rescued me from the street, and then put those sad days behind me. After all, I’m safe now—with people who liked me right away. From my first day here, they said, I’ve been friendly, sweet, and mellow, which is pretty cool for a dog just 2 years old. I’m a medium size female at 43 pounds, black with white feet and a stylish white marking from chin to chest. Best of all, I have the makings of a loyal, loving companion starting today until forever. Won’t you please say I can be yours?

Hi… my name is Gypsy,

Adopted 9-2-17

I was adopted as a sweet little puppy and today I’m a sweet 2-1/2-year old, but my people can’t keep me anymore. Their new Florida landlord says I can’t live with them there. So I’m going to give my heart to someone new and hope this time it’s forever! I’m a playful, loving, tan and white Staffie mix female, 27 pounds. I’ve not lived with children, but my former people said I was gentle and tolerant. I can jump high and do not get along with cats, but I love playing with my toys and sleeping with my blankie. I’m crate-trained, “ask” to go outside, behave well in the house, and do many other things just to please you. Give me the chance and I’ll be the best dog I can be for you.

Hi… my name is Sara,

Adopted 3-11-19

Sara has earned her AKC Canine Good Citizen certificate.

Born in late 2013, I have grown into a smart, loving, playful petite Staffie mix. My friends say I am a star. My dream is to one day have a forever home and be a lap dog so if you’re game, I’m the one for you. I need your time because I can be anxious if left alone too long. I would do best in a home with a doggie door. I’ve been good with children and teens and have lived with children in the past. My friends think that I am unfriendly towards other dogs, but I am willing to work on that. The cold can be hard on me, so if you have a warm heart and home, you’re the one for me. I will be an awesome addition to your family.

Hi… my name is Ruby,

Adopted 7-11-17

“Very friendly.” That’s just one of the compliments given to me by the kind stranger who found me in the parking lot of a local store. I was lost, wandering among the cars and people, and it was scary! Fortunately, although my rescuers knew they couldn’t keep me, they took me home for a day and discovered how truly friendly I am. I was very sweet with children and other dogs, they said, and love to cuddle (oh, so true!). I’m a 1-1/2-year-old Staffie mix female, about 47 pounds with a sleek black and white coat, who’s lively and playful. When the volunteers arrive to take me for a walk, I’m so excited I sometimes jump for joy! Can you imagine how happy I’ll be if you say to me, “Sweetie, let’s go home!”

Hi… my name is Angel,

Adopted 6-17-17

I was found wandering some dirt roads near here, which can be fun if you can go home at the end of the day. But I didn’t have a home. My finder liked me, but I was too rough with her mini Chihuahua, so now I’m here, hoping the next winding road leads me to my happily ever after. According to my finder, I liked playing with kids, and volunteers agree that I enjoy the company of people. Indeed, I’m definitely a fun-loving dog, who can walk well on a leash, and cuddle, too. And although I wasn’t a good match with my finder’s dogs, I’ve lived with another dog here at TALGV. I’m a brindle, grey and white female, 61 pounds and about 2 years old. Won’t you please come find me here?
