Hi… my name is PJ (aka Triumph),

I was adopted as a puppy, then later returned for being “too much puppy.” Could I be anything else BUT a puppy? I think not! Since coming back, I’ve aced my basic manners and leash training from my two- and four-legged friends. I was lucky enough to be in a foster home where I proudly demonstrated I’m house trained, crate trained, and even learning to ring a bell when I need to go out. I know all the commands, take treats gently, and walk like a pro — though I might occasionally zig-zag like a bird dog on patrol. I’m affectionate, calm, playful in bursts, and always keep an eye on my people. Basically, I’m a 5-Star Dog. Want proof? Check out my foster “Report Card” below. Ever heard the expression “turnkey?” It’s the perfect description for me. Don’t worry about me needing work—I already know how to ask to go outside when I need to, walk like a lady on a leash, and ride well in the car. I love to be loved, but I’m not a needy girl, and I’m happy sleeping on my bed next to yours. (I mean, if you’ll share the couch, I’ll probably enjoy that, too, and my compact size means I won’t take up much room.) I’m not a pup anymore so I like to spend my time relaxing and dreaming of chasing bunnies. Even my lovely, shiny, short coat only requires minimal maintenance. I am sweet, affectionate, beautiful and ready to start my new life with you. What more could you ask for?

Puppies are cute, easy to love and sometimes goofy. I know because I’m surrounded by puppies! They’re my siblings! And there are more puppies at the Animal League, too. I hear them playing and sometimes I can smell them because, well, I’m a dog. Yes, I’m still little, with lots to learn, and needing a daily puppy portion of cuddling, playing, and reminders that I’m safe and loved. I’m Packard, one of the Car litter boys, and old enough to meet people now. And if another puppy is your favorite, that’s okay.
