Animal League News

Hi… my name is Oscar,

Adopted 10-10-21

When I jumped into the lady’s golf cart, all I wanted was a ride. At first she thought I was a wild animal, but once we met she invited me home. I’m an approximately 4-month-old Terrier and I’m proud of it! Would you believe there are over 30 types of Terriers? Being “feisty” and energetic are the primary traits we all share. Don’t worry, I hear we make wonderful, loyal, and lovable pets. We’re also trainable, as long as you take charge, because we can be a little stubborn (I prefer, independent). Now is the perfect time, with your patience and perseverance, for me to start kindergarten and learn the basic commands. How about some “extra curricular” training. You know what I mean… cute tricks! Are you ready to take me home?

Hi… my name is Goli,

Adopted September 24, 2015

I had a good home with my Chihuahua buddy, Money, and our human dad, but when Dad needed some medical attention, there was no one to take care of us. He decided a new home would be best for each of us and so we’re here. I’m excited about a new place and thinking I could fit in real well. I’m little, a beige and cream 14-pound girl, and at just 6 months old, I know “sit” and “come,” and how to walk on a leash. TALGV volunteers call me super cute; I hope you think so, too. Most of all, I want you to know that I’m a loving dog who would make a great friend. Please, could we meet? I’m thinking the best new home for me may be yours!

Hi… my name is Peaches.

I was adopted March 19, 2014.

My girlfriend (and maybe sister), Cream, and I were snatched from the middle of Frontage Road near Los Arroyos just in the nick of time before being hit by a car. To say that we were frightened is the understatement of the year, but now that we’ve been brought to safety at TALGV, we’re beginning to show our gratitude for that rescue by coming out of shells more each day. We’re tiny, “sort of” wire-haired terrier mix girls (with maybe a wee bit of Mexican hairless thrown in?),  and it would be so wonderful if we could stay together in a new home. I can pretty much promise that we will be “Velcro” dogs because neither of us wants to ever have to deal with such trauma again! Won’t you make our dreams come true by giving us a new lease on life?
