May I confide in you? I’m a shy dog—a handsome, gentle, cautious guy who’d rather tell you things here than when we meet. For instance, although I’m shy, I have some clear opinions. Things I like? Daily walks along familiar paths, time to sniff things around us, and, most especially, other good dogs as walking companions. Things that bother me? Trucks, thunder, and strangers. It takes time for me to trust a new person. I may tremble even when a good friend puts the leash on my collar, and I usually prefer just being close to being petted. The secrets in my heart that explain these things will probably remain secret, but if you give me your love, understanding, and a safe and comfy home, I will happily be your special dog forever.
