Hi… my name is Freckles,

Adopted 8-5-23

With ears like mine, one MUST have a sense of humor.  I’ve heard I remind people of a long-ago TV show: The Flying Nun.  Whatever. I can’t fly, but I DO have what all puppies and dogs have: the ability to make you fall in love with me. I have lots of love to give – especially if you can provide me what puppies require: Exercise, Training, Socialization, etc. If you have other playful dogs and even cats, all the better! I may grow into my oversized ears, or maybe not. Seriously though, have you ever seen such a cute guy? Aside from the other available dogs at TALGV, I mean – LOL!  Maybe you’ll find room in your home and heart for me and my ears? Call and set up an appointment to meet me soon!

Hi… my name is Princess,

Adopted 8-5-23

In my own calm and sweet way, I’m probably one of the friendliest dogs you’ll meet. And it’s no secret why: I simply love giving and receiving attention.  Maybe that comes from having lived with several large and small dogs, plus cats, all at once! Today, when a kind person gives me some special one-on-one time, you’ll see my happy tail wagging. Going for walks is fun, too. I’m good on leash and even as an 8-year-old, there’s a lot of pep in my step. Of course, life hasn’t always been fun and games.  When our person had to leave, we needed major help. Thankfully, that came with the wonderful neighbor who brought me here, where I now have the chance to meet you! Who knows? We might become each other’s best friend forever.

Hi… my name is Choko,

Adopted 1-2-24

Who would like a chocolate cookie? My feline buddy Cookie and I fit that description. As tiny kittens we came to The Animal League because our rescuer had too many cats in her home. We have developed our own personalities. I’m the cat who is somewhat reserved in comparison to Cookie who loves to greet people and jump on their laps. My friendliness is quiet and cautious, but I do love attention! And I’m certainly a handsome lad. This is not the time to wimp out and go on a diet. Have your “chocolate” in the form of me, Choko, a sweet and loving cat. Please come meet me. I’m ready to be yours.

Hi… my name is Blackie,

Adopted 2-17-24

Mom said she had too many cats, so here I am! I came with my two adopted kittens, whom I nursed, and they are looking for their own new homes. I’m very shy right now and still getting used to my new environment. I’m not aggressive but I’ve been hiding. Volunteers are working to help me feel more comfortable, and so far I’m okay with being touched. It’s all so new to me. I think I need to find a quiet home and a patient person so I can get my bearings. Are you looking for a beautiful black girl with big yellow eyes? Let’s see if we can work something out.

Hi… my name is Dixon,

Adopted 8-18-23

When I was adopted from TALGV about a year ago, I was an adorable puppy. I may have been big for my age but who could guess how much I’d grow in the months to come. Certainly not my adoptive parents! So here I am, a handsome, 1 ½-year-old, 94 lb. Great Dane/Boxer mix, who’s looking for a home. I know how to “sit” and ask to go out. Since I’m a high energy boy, I’ll need someone strong enough to teach me proper leash walking skills, all the basic commands, and good manners (since I’ve been told I should never jump up on people…no matter how lovable I am). I know that once we’ve completed my education, I’ll be a perfect gentleman who’ll make you proud! The adventure begins…are you ready?

Hi… my name is Adelita,

Adopted 12-12-23

I learned the hard way what a cold shoulder is: my family moved and just left me outside. Rude! I lived on the porch for a couple of weeks and was getting overheated. Finally someone brought me to safety.  I’m ready for a new home where I will never experience that again! I’m very sweet and like to hide my nose in my paws. I enjoy petting and right now I hang out on a cat tree and take lots of naps there. My coat is a pretty grey with white. If you will come meet me we can get acquainted and find out if we’re simpatico. I’m betting you’ll love me at first sight.
