When I first arrived at TALGV I was under the weather for a while, then I spent time in foster, and now I’m ready for my forever home. While in foster, my “parents” gave me lots of love and attention. They were teaching me how to sit, wait, leave it, go potty, turn (spins on hind legs), and “go to your crate.” What I need now is a family who will continue my training! My leash training is also improving but loud noises, strange dogs and people still make me nervous. I really enjoy a peaceful and quiet environment! I’m very affectionate and I love to be close to my “people,” but I did become jealous of my foster’s dog. I would personally prefer being an only dog! Could I be your “one and only?” Please.

In my first life, I was the neighborhood Lothario serenading my girlfriend outside her window. Her human wasn’t enchanted by my attentions, so brought me to TALGV, and I eventually found a “real” home. In my second life, it took a while to adjust to living indoors, but I fell in love with my mom, so much so that I was aggressive with my feline housemate, and thus my arrival here to await my third life! Mom said I love to play with balls, window gaze, faithfully use a (sturdy) scratching post, and want ALL your love. I also have a warm, comforting purr to share so why not make my last life with you?

PS I guess you can tell I’m a bit camera shy!

Nothing makes me happier than a job that involves plenty of active exercise. I’m a one-year-old male Husky, and I’m from a long line of “working” dogs. From what I hear through the grapevine, I’m a handsome, sweet boy with eyes you just “have” to see. I’m also curious, playful, exuberant, and really just a puppy at heart. I walk well on a leash and with a little training, I’ll be even better. I’m curious when meeting people and other dogs. Let’s face it; I’ve never met a stranger I didn’t like. I really want to please and by getting some basic training, I can accomplish my goal. I’ll need a secure yard to keep me safe and curb my wanderlust. Could you be my future family? My mom Floppy and I lived with our human dad until recently, but he is getting up there in years and could no longer care for us. I am a small shepherd mix who is affectionate and loves to play and cuddle with my special person. My dad said that liked to wander and could jump a four-foot high fence so I can follow my nose and explore. (I’ve always come back though!) I walk well on a leash and know how to heel and stay. Being part shepherd, I’m smart and learn quickly. I also like to keep busy. Maybe you can come and teach me more? I come with vet care support for life.
