When my mom moved to help with a sick family member, she had no idea how long she’d be gone. Since there was no one else to care for me and she couldn’t afford to board me, she sadly relinquished me. I’m a lanky, super sweet 2-year-old guy who’s lived with older kids, so I’m used to lots of action, affection, and attention (the three “A’s” of cats’ dreams!). Although I’m on a special diet to maintain my urinary health (which TALGV helps pay for), I love it, so meal times are no different than for any other cat. I’ve got tons of love to share, so won’t you help make 2021 my best year yet?

I am a young, sweet and gentle soul who loves to be petted, sit next to you on the sofa and be near you whenever I can. I also Iike to play games and take walks. My foster mom says I am easy to have around and have learned several commands like sit, stay, come and stop. I have one brown and one blue eye. According to Native American legend it means I can see both heaven and earth and that makes me a natural protector. I know how to use the doggie door when I have to go potty. I’ve gotten along with big and small people alike and I also like other dogs. I love to meet new people and when you come to visit me, I’ll greet you with lots of kisses.

I’m having a really hard time adjusting to my new circumstances, and although the volunteers are trying to convince me things will get better, so far I’m not having much of it. My mom and dad separated, and neither could keep me and give me the attention I deserve, so one day my happy home life abruptly ended and I was dropped off here. I did sort of okay with the intake (eye, ear, nose, and throat stuff and shots), but after that I just sort of shut down. I’m a beautiful longhaired “Maine Coonish” lady, and will make a lovely companion some day, so please have patience and check back to see my progress.

I’m a beautiful chocolate, female Staffie mix. You might say I’m a chocolate lover’s dream come true. Thank goodness I was found and brought to TALGV. When I first came in I was weak and weary and very hungry. I’m still regaining my strength but I’m doing so in what some might call “a luxury suite.” The volunteers here are all loving, caring people who are giving me the attention that I have come to appreciate. After being abandoned, I now have hope. I’m a sweet, affectionate girl that still needs some necessary pampering and the stability of a warm and loving home, but who doesn’t! Let me show you what a fine lady I am. Please, just call for an appointment and we’ll visit a while.
